My friend actually said that to me, I was like "wtf just buy a PS3 if you're going to do that". He basically said buy a Pro and an Arcade, and play the Pro until it RRoDs, then put the HDD on the Arcade and play the arcade until you get the other one back.
It is a good idea, but too expensive. I just told him, buy one of each console and you'll be fine.
@Kain81 - Thanks for the info, I honestly didn't know that. But Tri-Ace seems to have been favouring 360 over PS3, probably because it was easier to develop for. That's why I'm guessing it is the 360 version, but seen as it is meant to be released at the same time on both platforms, it could be either.

I'd guess 360, but that's just because Tri-Ace has tended to make games on 360 first. But dunno for sure
I personally think they should cut the price in November, like how MS did last year. It would have a much greater effect. But as soon as Sony drops the price to $299, MS will drop the Elite price to $299 as well.
Just got it (not connected to internet on my 360), and it is pretty good actually. Better than I thought it would be, it's kinda like Mario + Timeshift + Art = Braid. Good mix though, main character looks crap though imo.
@Shbzshar - Your 360 drive is dying. I used to get the same thing, luckily I was still within 1 year of warranty so I got it fixed for free. Call MS (tell them you bought the console like 9 months ago) and if they replace it for free great, but if not you may have to force RROD.

Is Sega working on any other PS3 game right now? I guess they are localising Yakuza 3 and publishing End of Eternity, but I don't think they are developing anything for PS3 right now. So maybe it will be on PS3. Hope so, I don't care if it's multiplat, as long as it's a proper next-gen RPG.

Same here. I have a DS, but when a sequel to great franchises comes out, I'd rather have them on a next gen system. Although if it used the touch functionality of the DS correctly it could still be good i.e. Zelda Phantom Hourglass

@2.7 - Dunno the exact dates, but as far as I've heard, both of them are coming out at some point in June. Kinda annoying that the TOV localisation has taken this long though.
@Immortal Kaim - Yeah I see what you mean, I'm going to definitely get the X360 version as soon as it releases in EU, been waiting for ages, and I don't really care that much about extra content in the PS3 version.
But this is good news for PS3 only owners, at least they get to play the game and they get more content for their wait.
@PirateThom - Also to further your argument. The devs are localising the 360 version for EU and have already localised for US. It won't take too much more effort to simply use the same voice tracks (plus all the extras) and release the game on PS3 in US and EU.

Actually it is an issue with Live, as it uses mainly P2P connections resulting in more lag.

@lowcarb - The difference between PSN and XBL are minimal now. PSN is actually more lag-free than XBL because it uses dedicated servers. As far as the features are concerned, XBL laid it's foundation last-gen, PSN has really only been alive for 2 years, and yet it's caught up like crazy, and will continue to do so.
ANY Xbox 360 owner that is GLAD to pay for XBL is retarded, PSN is not as bad as people say, in fact it is very very good, and free. So why should anyone pay $50 a yea...
For some reason I don't think there will be 10,000 cars, it's just too much. Only reason I can think of Sony doing that is for bragging rights i.e. Only possible on PS3 due to Blu-Ray
