I think 8/10 is a fair score for the game, AI is a bit stupid, why do they always know where you are if you are a certain distance from them??? And if you are outside of that distance, you can shoot them and kill them and they won't even fire back at you once.
The big fuss is all about the price. It simply is not worth $60 ESPECIALLY for Halo fans, because they are the people that would have bought every map pack for Halo 3. If it was $30-40, there would be no fuss.

LOL I know OXM is biased, and people say OPM is biased (which they are imo), but they just lost all credibility by giving ODST 9.5/10. No way, no doubt in my mind is it a 9.5, and it is the game I am currently playing. It's an 8/10, why? Because ODST is worse than Halo 3 in quite a few ways in terms of gameplay. The story however is a big improvement, much more in-depth than Halo 2 and 3 AT LEAST.

To be honest, Gears single player isn't glitchy at all, it's just the multiplayer.
Yeah but Mass Effect 2, Deus Ex 3 and Fable 3, and also Fallout New Vegas (I think) are out next year. And 3/4 of those will be great (not a big fan of Fable tbh).
The main credence to the rumor though is that 1up were the first to get wind of it, and the fact that Shane Bettenhausen is the big dog at Ignition is what's fuelling the rumor, because people are thinking that he tipped 1up off.
@KingME - You are not open minded, you are one of the biggest fanboys on N4G. In fact, you probably are 360FTW2.
@Ldubbz - But did that few hundreds of thousands of sales cover costs for the developers? That's what matters, Halo and Gears can sell however much they like, as long as they cover their cost, that's all that matters. Gaming isn't about sales, just enough so that the devs can cover their costs, in order for them to survive and continue to make games.

Yeah definitely seems that way, WKC, Resonance of Fate, FF13 etc. And that's not even including all the WRPGs!
I just think of it as Gears of War PS3 really, and Gears is a great game, so a clone of it would be great as well.
@1 - I think cos Naughty Dog mentioned that they wanted to move on from Uncharted, I can't remember where they said that though. As if they were hinting at maybe going back to Jak & Daxter.
