I love open world as much as the next guy, but you need some variety in game types. As long as the story is good, I don't care.
MS had the better show because there were no low points.
However, Sony showed the better games. Most of what MS showed had already been announced.
There were good things and bad things about this show, but it was a good conference because they didn't waste any time. They didn't try to show gameplay for every game, and they managed to fit in a hell of a lot of content. My main concern is that there wasn't enough new and completely exclusive games shown, and those that were, were very far off in terms of development. Also COD starting was incredibly boring and mundane, I was honestly not wowed at a single point in the game.

They should not have said OFFICIAL, when it was a rumour. Absolute BS, and the thing that makes it worse is that Sony actually completely denied it, when they normally would just say "We don't comment on rumour or speculation".
@JOY - Yeah, Sony. Not PlayStation, which means the division is less likely to get culled.
@tbone - And that would have been $16 billion without Xbox, meaning the division is MORE likely to be culled.

Is this supposed to be worldwide data? Because VGC has proven to be quite unreliable at times when the NPD is released. Not that I don't think PS4 came top though, because this is the month MS announced the diskinect.
Sometimes it's a good thing for the game to copy the mechanics of another one though.

At this point, I think the best we can hope for is that Square make a decent game at all. They've been relying on Eidos for years now.
Don't care about NBA, but everything else seems pretty good.
This is pretty cool, it give people who are nowhere near the convention center something to look forward too. Hope there's something good announced.
I pretty much agree with everything you said. I don't trust any of Sessler's reviews or impressions of games because he is so inconsistent.

I agree with Majin-Vegeta, this was obvious from the moment PS4 was winning in US.
No it won't be, they just released GTA V, and their development cycle is very long. If anything, it's going to be GTAV for next gen consoles.
I think it depends on the developer tbh, like ThatGameCompany or Q-Games. I'd take their games happily, because they are almost AAA level.
