I remember quite well, he was clearly intended to be sony's mario/sonic I agree. What I'm saying is cloud and ffvii in general were instrumental in the fledgling ps1's success. He was the first posterboy of his importance for sony as a gaming company. Today I would say if spiderman knocks it out of the park I'd recommend him as the new face of playstation. Wouldn't have the need to build an iconic face from scratch and they already use the font.
Nintendo doesn't mind the online help I'm sure. Also sure ps4 base would keep their trophy system.
You may not care about crossplay and other sony-dedicated will say the same thing because it's become the standard line of defense against critism from the rest of the gaming world outside of your minority. Anyone who thinks no ps4 owner is annoyed about their epic account is a fool.

Unless you consider that crash went multiplat first, not accounting for snake having msx/nes roots. Cloud was the golden boy of the three but now I suppose that would be kratos or maybe ellie. Nathan drake and alloy don't work as well.
I'll mostly agree. The land and world games were bland and uninspired. Even the galaxy games couldn't hook me and I didn't want a wii to begin with. Sunshine was okay, they tried a little too hard for new mechanics I think and limited the game to a single tropical island. Mario 64 was very important for its time but no mario game truly caught me after that until odyssey which is masterful.
And a skin to make donations to a good cause that sony steals a cut of.

Sony is pissing off the public eye with their arrogance and ps5 will have a heavy emphasis on vr because they're still hopeful while microsoft has been buying studios. This is exactly how the tables turned last time, looking forward to the bitter tears.
