Well that's a paid suck up review if I've ever seen one.
All that means is out of the hundreds of millions of PCs, only %3 are modern gaming ones. Still probably as many as both consoles combined.

But yeah this game could work out really well if the get the mechanics right. Stargate is a surprisingly interesting universe (just watching SG-1 series now).
Spore is a collection of mediocre minigames. Every mode has been done somewhere else as a full game so much better. Only original and decent mode where your creature actually mattered at all was the Creature mode. Short and of course didn't matter much later.
Whole thing is an epic failure on every level imo.
DRM is such a joke. Steam is an example of right way to go.
When you can download a cracked DRM free version a WEEK BEFORE the actual release, the system has proved a failure.

I'd rather look at opinions from credible game sources. This is the UK gossip magazine if I'm not mistaken.GS and IGNs score tell me all I need to know.... close but failed at greatness because of over simplistic design trying to appeal to casuals.
Everyone was expecting greatness from this game. 8/10 these days is pretty much a mediocre score. I just can't enjoy games that come with a bunch of hyped up promises and end up limited and simplistic.
There was obviously no chance of this game being outright BAD. But seriously we expected and should've recieved something much greater. 9.0 should be the lowest score a game of true greatness gets.
Sadly it seems like they did exactly what I feared they would do to ruin it. Overly simplistic trying to appeal to casuals. Doing that not only drives away hardcore gamers, it doesn't get you the casuals either.
Who the hell preorders anything?
