Yeah they need to stick with one base and one high end model with full PS2 B/C. Need to start working on full PS2 emulation too so eventually all hardware can be without PS2 chips.
Yep well its pretty funny considering JRPGs have been a dying breed since the Playstation1 era and that prettymuch goes completely against what Xbox fans would expect. My guess is PS3 steals a lot of former Xbox fans this year with a wave of shooter exclusives and emphasis on online gaming. And JRPG fans will own a PS3 anyways for what it has coming.

Yeah right. Blu-ray might not ever be as big as DVD's peak but it is the HD standard and once prices come down will be the standard disc format. And even if a good popular download service starts up (there isn't even really one yet) the majority is still going to want to own a hard copy. My guess is we're 20 years away from downloads becoming the standard and even then Blu-ray will still be around for the people who want hard copies.

Well even XP sucked for the first couple years. The competition has definitely overtaken MS for actual OS quality. But until I can play all my games on another OS I'm stuck in Microsoft's monopoly.

Yeah this year should put PS3 far on top of the 360. Probably will even out monthly sales with the Wii too.
If they're making it a PS3 exclusive then I could see it being epic since they have the hardware and confidence.... otherwise it's probably doomed to be a generic multiplat.

I think the Gamecube era hardware selling for $250 would be sign enough that Nintendo doesn't give a damn about giving consumers value or modern features.

I'll eventually get one once there's more content. No sense getting one now when 60GB is plenty for what I do. HDDs will only be cheaper later.
Well show us another level then. They weren't even done with the engine and texture streaming wasn't implemented yet. I'm sure it'll turn out visually stunning and hopefully a great game.
Yeah the PS3 version has been equal or better for all the best mmultiplat games, which are the only ones that matter anyways.
Wii lineup has been sequels to N64 era franchises and Gamecube/PS2 ports....... remind me how people are stupid enough to buy this thing again?
