I'm with you on that one. Some companies SHOULD focus on remakes aka Square Enix. I try and play early 3D games and just can't. I can play the 2D stuff still but early 3D is just fugly, stuff like FFVII and Xenogears are unplayable and could seriously use an upgrade though I would wager they would have to be completely remade.
FFX HD is likely the most anticipated game for me this spring with Watch Dogs up there too.

Funny thing is, Squeenix hasn't had a really good FF game in many years. Personally I'd prefer if they went back and gave all their classics an HD polish like they're doing for X. Love to see VIII and IX remastered. I'm FAR more excited for FFX Remaster than anything they have done for years.
It's a good game. Some people are implying the issue is that it has the wrong name and maybe they would like it more if someone changed the name of the game?
My biggest issue with the game is the parkour stuff. They really need a way to run without the parkour, I really just wanted to run to the ships helm....why am I in the crow's nest!!!!!!!!
It's a curious thing. I never purchase Ubisoft games, they just don't suit my tastes, I checked their Wiki entry and the last Ubisoft game I bought was Heroes of Might and Magic V back in 2006.
Yet, I just picked up AC Black Flag (love it yarrrrrrrrrr) and my 2 most anticipated games next year are The Division and Watchdogs and will also closely be watching Child of Light.
In my little world Ubisoft are firing on all cylinders.
Really enjoying the pirating. Sid's original Pirates! was amazing. My big issue with the pirating in Black Flag is how crowded it is, it's just 1 ship after another once you pick a fight. Personally I would have preferred to see fewer ships/larger rewards. The ocean is supposed to feel open and free, not crowded like a busy highway.

Valkyria Chronicles was amazing and Sega really missed an opportunity. Can you imagine if From Software stopped after Demon's Souls? That's basically what Sega did with Valkyria Chronicles.

The "Power of the Cloud" augmenting graphics arguement died when MS did a 180 on the always online. It would be far too complicated to provide a graphical boost for consoles that are online. Far too much effort for too little reward. Where the cloud may help is multi-player games, they could offload some of that stuff as it's kinda hard to play an online game offline. Then again, this isn't revolutionary stuff. Sony could easily do the same.

Loved the game as well. My only gripe is that RNG is a little too cruel a mistress. Can be infuriating when you fail to kill something after missing 3 times in a row with a 80%+ chance of hitting and then it one shots one of your most experienced soldiers.
