Again, I agree with Alpha. I can tell many of you are supportive of "special" rights, and not "equal" rights. Say goodbye to fundamental liberties, and say hello to totalitarianism.
P.S. - While you're at it, redDevil87, donate all of your hard-earned money to the companies supporting the legislation of the SOPA bill, because clearly you believe in censorship.
@-Eamon - I live in the States, and my right to malign another religion in any form is protected by The Bill of Rights. Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I vehemently agree with Alpha. If I don't subscribe to a r...
Very off-topic, but Hail to the Thief was Radiohead's last honorable album.
Much like you, I'm ready for something refreshing from Naughty Dog, and The Last of Us seems as though it could be that breath of fresh air I've been waiting for. Of course, the N4G community doesn't understand introductions and conclusions, which is probably why you racked up so many disagrees, and why I'll gather plenty of them as well. I feel as though I'm using a website polluted with adolescents.
I thought some of the article was funny, especially the section about Escape from Minako.
I'm one of the few people who agree with you. Sex doesn't sell. Sex makes me want to have sex. When I watch a Burger King commercial with half-naked women, I'm no longer thinking about hunger; I'm thinking about having sex. I believe the "sex sells" mentality is such a cliche marketing strategy that only works if you're legitimately advertising porn.
Sony definitely appeals to the intellectual crowd. Disregarding the PS3 for a moment, Sony owns a collection of entertainment industries, namely Columbia Pictures and Sony BMG. They're also known for their kick-ass DSLR cameras. In addition, they also have a pretty lucrative TV and PC business. In other words, they don't just appeal to gamers.
At this stage, maintaining "XIII" would be a weak business strategy. I personally know a few people who think Versus XIII is XIII-2. And I know other people who aren't even aware of the existence of Final Fantasy XIV. So, attaching XV might confuse or overwhelm people. I believe the Roman numeral should be discarded altogether. "Final Fantasy Versus" alone still sounds pretty slick.
That's not how it works. I have disagrees because people are as naive as you. Disagree if you agree with me.
Could've*. Stay in school.
Side note: the novel is far better.
I'll pass. Versus XIII, please.
I was very excited for this title. But when I watched last night's trailer... DAMN. It was terrible.
Very interesting.
Trailer-trash goth = terrible idea.
Nice job associating every person in the south with one group of people. You're such a rational thinker.
To some people who spend literally hundreds of hours of their lives to perfect pressing the "R1" button, it's pretty serious.
I guess the real question is - is this something to be proud of? There are actual soldiers, sailors, and marines who do this on a daily basis. To them, it's not a game. Games are played for luxury and entertainment - nothing more.
.
Something tells me that this game is somewhat inspired by Cormac McCarthy's novels. Along with No Country for Old Men, he also wrote The Road, which seems to have influenced the post-apocalyptic world in The Last of Us. I'm curious if the game will make references to other McCarthy novels, like Blood Meridian or Outer Dark.
