Killzone 2 sold 300k in 2 days. SF4 was out since the 15th of Feburary and sold 400k. Just to give you some perspective. Sony did a well done job pushing the PS3 as evidenced by the over 50k increase in PS3 hardware sells.

And why the wii is in first? Sony doesn't have to do much because the 360 is irrelevant competition when it'll come to pricing wars. A $299.99 PS3 will only make the 360 look like the inferior machine it is- more so than a $399.99 PS3 can. Microsoft can't only compete in NA when Sony already has EU and JPN locked at that price. It'll also be the best multimedia device on the market at $299.99- opening up a more larger consumer base. Face it, the 360 is irrelevant.

I think after you hit General, it sort of becomes... 'how can I make my own fun....' GG needs to fix some balancing issues, add more progression, and more unlocks. They should've spread the unlocks out a little. I've seen people get General in a week with all their badges. It's all about brand appeal. I'm sure the 150+mil PS2 users still know what a PlayStation is. The PlayStation brand is a lot more powerful and holds a lot more weight than the Xbox brand does. A greatest hits bundle does sound like Sony is phasing out the 80 gig.... or phasing out the $399.99 price point. They have a limited set of bundles selling for $399.99 and drop the price of the regular 80 gig to $299.99- to soften the blow of a price cut.
Should've bundled Uncharted and Ratchet, seeing as their sequels are coming this year.

The best way to describe Heavy Rain would be that it is an action/ adventure game equivalent to Bioware's RPG's. Everything you do in Heavy Rain has a consequence, you have moral choices etc
Killzone sales were for 2 days, the month ending Feb 28th and sold 300k+. SF4 was out since Feb 15th and sold only 400k. PS3 sales are up over 50k from the previous month. Killzone is still an unproven ip. Gears 1 didn't sell 2 mil in one day. COD 4 didn't sell 300k+ in 2 days. The 360 only outsold the PS3 by roughly 100k- 25k/week. PS3's install base is half of the 360 in NA. Failure indeed./ sarcasm
