Agree 100% with this article. I love Sony but delays are still a problem and it pisses me off. We are almost in October and we haven't had a good exclusive release since God of War back in March.
I agree with everything the article says, however, I believe that MS has several options here. They can forego physical media completely and put out a next gen box that is download only....it will work with MS's new framework for massively reducing download times. I believe that a smaller percentage of gamers will pick this box off (only those with very fast connections). This will also keep the price of the box down. There will also be a low cost (blu ray drives are pretty cheap now...
Sessler is going a bit to far here. yes, the 1st amendment does provide protection, however, what Sessler fails to realize is that while video games are considered speech, the are ALSO considered VIDEO. That means that restrictions to minors can be carried out. What's the big deal Sessler? Minors shouldn't be buying alcohol nor should they be buying M rated games.

Nintendo will kick off next gen next year....along with MS. MS will not just sit around and wait for Ninty to launch first.
Its time.
Uhh...No Mr. Pachter, the new consoles will be just fine.
looks like God of War gameplay
now thats one hell of a list.
not sure of what to make of the new dante.
great post caladbolg
Good article for the mainstream. I think Move will perform solidly for Sony just enough to hold it over until the next generation of consoles.
I wonder which of these bad boys will appear in the next gen consoles.
lmao
actually, windows 8 is in 2012.
oh my...are you one of those that screams in horror at the thought of a new console since you have to save up?
Exactly.
2011 is also years away.
We'll see the 720 in fall 2011. For those who drink the MS cool aid and think otherwise.....LMAO.
looks quite good!
Ok, let me clarify..
The PSP2 will graphically blow the 3DS out of the water.
As for sales, I have no idea.
The PSP2 will blow this out of the water
Doesn't seem very powerful at all.
Uses 2 last gen iPod touch/zune processors (one for each screen I assume)
great info!
Let me begin by saying that I am a lawyer.
