It may seem that I’m being overly harsh on the title and perhaps I am, but after loving the original I wanted more of the same from the sequel. The changes are something much more in line with a new franchise based on the Echochrome idea but don’t seem to sit well with the series.

If I had to pick, it would be Final Fantasy IV. The story and world was poor brilliance. But I can't choose one. I always have enjoyed the FF series(minus a couple of them)
I also really loved Crystal Chronicles on Gamecube too.
Well to be fair, I watched the preview talkabout episode on G4 on the chatauex gameplay. They cut it down a bit and didn't really show any emotion when ever they said anything positive. Didn't seem excited about it. The footage is great. It wasn't as bad as Gamespot's GT5 preview, but still felt a little biased. They didn't need to go all out Jimmy Fallon, but they seemed like they didn't want sound like they were impressed:

Hearing Gabe apologize to the entire PS3 community and tell the world that the best version on console is the PS3's, well... that just made my day.
The only game show on G4 is Xplay, and that was a TechTV show. Everyone was canned. They won't play any shows from back in the day. You get about 12 hours of infommericals, followed by COPS and Cheaters marathons. I agree it is safe to say G4 is dead. I used to watch the old G4tv 24/7. But now I just check the Feedback, Soapbox, and couple vids online. I haven't watched G4 on tv in almost 2 years.
COD4 was what did it. Took the fight out of WWII for once. Got everyone hooked. It did something different.

This one looks really good. I kind of fell out of love with the series, but the trailer tells me this one will be scary. Plus I am glad it feels like Silent Hill. Resident Evil has turned into such an action series, that I miss the days of pure fear. Plus SH's dark fantasy approach always was cool. That Japanese horror feel, of blood running down walls and passages revealed into secret rooms. I hope it turns out to be good. I don't want it to fail. I need a scary game, I haven't p...
I love the vegetation. Gears 3 looks so good. No one does Unreal like Epic themselves.
The 1st party core games are great. I don't really care for Mario shovelware. Some sports games are fun, but do we really need a game where Mario is Curling?

Like Chrono Trigger, the first 30 mins is kind of a big deal to the story later on.
I personally think the best intro ever is from Oddworld Abe's Oddysee, that dropped you into a world I still think is the most amazing ever.
Not Multiplayer, just the forced need for it. The focus should be on the single player experience.
I think God of War 3 has the most epic opening, but I really liked Bioshock's beginning. I have never been more afraid in a game. It was literally like falling down the rabbit hole for me.
Yeah, I have to say LBP is the hardest of hardcore. It isn't a game anymore, it's a game creating tool. This is software for creating the games you want. And that is hardcore.
I hope this story ties into the Metal Gear Universe. I want the 5+ hours of cutscenes, and epic long story. I want this to really shine. MGS has always had long and beautiful movies and I don't want this to be a cheezy action game. It was called Metal Gear Rising, but now it's called MGS:Rising..The 'Solid' gives me hope for a good game.
