He has a right to give any review score he wants, as does any gamer. Having said that, one would be extremely ignorant to ignore the fact that this is an obvious biased review from a MS funded website. Nearly all ps exclusives review much more poorly than Xbox exclusives from polygon. If you can't see the clear and present bias from this site then I genuinely feel sorry for you.

Both consoles don't have too much on their plate now, which is normal, considering neither have been on the market for very long. The first year us usually a little dry, but next year we will see a lot of the heavy hitters start to come out.

First of all, they don't have to. They aren't the ones playing catch up and they're not the ones with a hardware deficiency. Secondly, there's been plenty of talk of api improvement for Sony.

They mattered last gen, and the generations before that. Granted, resolution and fps aren't everything, but of course it matters.

Yeah I know it far from being released, as I originally stated, but it's still kind of scary to see all these gameplay videos of this quality. If I were the devs, I would not be releasing tons of videos of such lousy footage. Also, the graphics look exactly like a ps2 game. Muddy textures, bland character models, and the environment looks unchanged from socom 3. Again, I know its in development, but surely you can't ignore these very apparent flaws.
I'm the biggest socom fan there is, but this game scares me. I know it's far from being released, but this game looks like it needs a lot of work. Animations are choppy, unrealistic, and look downright horrible. Graphics look nothing like next gen, and everything about it screams wacky and arcadey to me. They need to make the game smooth, realistic, and tactical. That's what socom is all about. I hope they deliver, because I've been itching for a socom game that isn't garb...

Surprisingly, more PS4 games run a higher resolution. It does matter, as does resolution, but I care about games first and foremost. Your point?
Also, don't even bother mentioning forza. Games that had to be severely downgraded and shrunk down to reach 60fps don't count. Especially when it looks like a last gen game.
