imho indy 4 rocked, its action was simply over the top because thats what many modern day heroes/heroines are like.
hype for alan wake is because its from the creators from max payne 1 and 2.
Since they created two epic games, the expectancy is that alan wake will also be epic.

Rockstar stated in an article they expect 2 million sales, that is about one third of what the full game sold on the 360.
I think thats a realistic expectancy, and since the DLC costed 25M, they make about 15M profit on it when the expectancy is reached.

Before the last rpg flood the 360 sold 2/3k a week right now its selling 10K+ a week.
After Star ocean 4 it will make a short stint to 50K+, and then drop to a steady 15 ~ 20 K a week.
we talk again coming feb.
Then star ocean 4 releases, and the 360 avalance will begin.
The japanese market is barely more importent then the dutch one...
Even tho its 3:1, 30K is still bad as well.
Theres alsmost 128M people living in japan (more then one third of the USA).
And still the USA sells 5 times as much consoles.

I indeed agree this probably wont be consider to be oblivion level, but will probably still do pretty well for a mid high mediocre game.
sadly, sales decide the market direction, thankfully the wii is in a league of its own.
the game will be good looking.
But i cant help to have the feeling that this is a potential flop candidate, seeing how controversial the game play is.
I think Killzone wont flop, but this one could get hazed.
