i suppose, judging some of the comments here, i should now be defending the 360 by saying that the 360 will perform just as good in a microwave as the ps3.

This story is fake.
the textures are the same, its mostly blocky fingers and stuff, and you really dont need blu ray to create round fingers.
Its the textures that take the most space, and if that would be an issue they could span it around multiple discs.
I would say, like they mention in the article, the image on the left is a target render.
And the image on the right the final product, we all know that games dont fully look as awesome as target renders, they come close, but not all the way.
And if they lied to direct more hatred from ps3 fans toward the 360, then start reporting this article.
They just want to cover their ears and eyes, and imagine how awesome FF would be if it was exclusive.
Or in other words, they wanna blame things on someone/something else.
howabout that one of the two images is either a cleaned up version, or the other a bad shot.
I find this extremely poor evidence, both trailers are prob not even recorded using the same source/cam.
You would be surprised how much of an impact that has on image quality.
Also it says in the article that there is no evidence whether the original trailer was just cgi, and was set as a footnote for what the final product should look like.

I was born and raised in Amsterdam, i know more then enough that in the street your chance of encounters with violence and drugs is about 90 %.
While sex covers only 10%, you dont see people shagging everywhere, you do constantly see people using drugs and fighting.
If it was the other way around, then games would be full of sex right now, and be rated R if it contained violence.
Its all about reflecting our society, and its value's.

The reason why stuff with sex is rated R, is because of human nature, we love to openly expose our violent behavior, but we dont like to show lovemaking in public, as it can cause you to get embarrassed.

In the prehistoric we smashed someone's skull in, in public, then we dragged the female back to our cave.
We didnt ravage the female on the same spot we smashed the other dude his skull in.
Instead humans went to a private spot after the violence.
violence happens in the streets.
sex happens in private, its not common for people to have sex in the open, when we agree with someone to have sex, we always get to a private place.
Violence however, occurs most of the time with bystanders being around.
So yes, sex in a game is pointless.
Porn is highly unrealistic compared to actual love making, and videogames shouldnt be turned into porno.
I am not American, but i agree sex got no place in games.
However, (Semi)Nudity does have a place in games, and should be more promoted.
The least thing i want to see in games, is seeing beings having sex with each other.
I do think however that skimpy dressed and nude woman are an enrichment to a game.
You obviously cant have a discussion without attacking the 360, i am not gonna defend the 360 either as there is plenty to look forward to.

Metal gear solid was afterall a reboot of the original metal gear series, using the same character, the same plot, but a different universe.
Metal gear solid become known for every soldier you face, being big boss clones, that wasnt the case in the original, as they where just hired mercenary's.
Hopefully they once again reboot the series, and create a new universe with the same/similar characters and plot.

what does the amount of cores in the 360 have to do with it ?
The ps3 only got one core, and mgs4 isnt killzone 2, and obviously if konami goes multi to increase sales revenue, they could use a new engine, who knows Konami has been working on a new engine behind the scenes for years now.
Who knows itl be the same engine as they will use for the next gen iteration of castlevania.
Also, this hasnt got anything to do with MS aquiring som...
MS prefers to focus on third party studio's, from which they get plenty of exclusives, MS still got 5 studio's of their own, and is forming a sixth studio, which is called Halo studio for now.
