Is anyone really surprised? I knew not to get excited about this. Until i hear it from Gabe himself and see it in motion then ill get excited.
I've been AMD / Ati (AMD ) for years! Went nvidia once , had dual 7600GTs, and had nothing but driver issues. Wouldn't put me off going nvidia again but AMDs price and performance keep me with them.
EUROPA
Mario Kart Double Dash you mean ?
Man the memories I have of the gamecube! That thing was a beast it could take some abuse and still work. Metroid Prime along is enough of a reason to own that machine, outstanding game and lived up to the hype! The 8 year gap between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime near killed me!
Youd be amazed how many people dont read the articles.
Cant believe I was there a year ago :/. Hoping to go next year!
This happens all the time. It happened with the 360, PS3 and, more recently, the WiiU.
They will be this price for a few weeks or month or two then it will go back down to the pricing we are more used to. Sure the RRP for games now is about 55 quid anyway.
Raging I couldn't make it this year :/. Loved Eurogamer last year but I hope to go next year maybe.
Great conference cannot wait for these GPUs but its the Mantel API I'm really excited about!

Another 15 min :D.
This seems to be an engine problem if anything.
Same I prefer the driving physics in GTA4.
It wont shift game developers overnight but with a company like Valve supporting Linux and creating their own OS out of it then it will defiantly help the push to Linux.
Its just down to AMD and Nvidia to get some good drivers out for Linux.
I KNEW IT! I CALLED THIS MONTHS AGO! Good to see this happening and this should be the catalyst for more AAA games on Linux.
Im stll on my 6950 2gb which has served me very well for the past 3 years (?). Looking at the r9-290x depending on price but I might just go for the r9-290 which is the 7950 replacement.
Ah lets hope this is all true, this thing will truly be a thing of beauty! Looks like its time to upgrade the 6950!
What's wrong with that? It's fun and is that not the point of a game?
I have to agree I thought I was the only one who missed the old beat'em ups! This does remind me of it but I also want to know how deep the combat system is because I do like my hack n slashers and one of the reasons I never really got into God of War was because I always felt the combat system was clunky and had very little fluidity compared to the Japanese hack and slash games like DMC.
Going to sound like a broken record but this Bioware post KOTOR, Baldur's Gate,Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 1 (Yes Mass Effect1).
Until I get to see more of it I'm not getting excited especially after efforts like ME3 (ME2 to a lesser extent), DA2 and SWOTOR.
