Not everyone who compares is a fan boy; however there are those who own both systems and are curious which one to purchase and sometimes there are large differences in games so its worth noting and comparing, I certainly like to know if one version is gimped
I agree the split market idea is lame, however its lame of MS to not let people or give them the option to get a BR player attachment, they need to quite being prideful they lost on that battlefront, they offered up an HD attachment, didnt use Digital downloding excuse for that? so why make it now? because they lost, they need to offer it and be fair to their consumers that will benefit from having it for movies and make them happy

I have it on the PS3 nephew has it on the Xbox Here is what I noticed

Colors are a little brighter
Bloom effetcs are a little brighter
PS3
Seems to be sharper
Some diff textures on the ground in some spots
Loads textures much faster and loads the game faster over all
Thats my experience, eithier way its so close eithier system is fine, and the game rocks by the way
They could justify it if, they made all DLC content free via Gold, that means any expanision packs for games etc, if the user base was high enough they could pull it off
Like all things, Natal will have mass marketing and they will go out and pull support and give took kits,
PS eye like all things with SONY they dont get behind it enough push it and support poeple with it
Its like LIVE, if you want it to work, get it to the masses and push it with mass marketing and advertisement

Who cares? Seriously almost 4 yrs into the life cycle and were still chiming up about hardware? Xbox has great software, just move on about the hardware its wasteful news now, its shoddy hardware eithier way,next gen maybe overall they will have it right
Maybe next time they will test their console hardware like they do their Hard drives since its their reason for the HD prices being high, lol still get a kick out of that one

Cyborg couldnt agree more, PC gaming is dead except for RTS and MMO which I think are best on PCs. Consoles with dedicated hardware for gaming is the future.
PS3 only has one down fall IMO its community is severly broken, they just didnt get it at first, to package a head set to push people talking, some may find it annoying to have everyone with mics but I would have it that way then no one with mics, next SONY is about 1.5 steps behind MS in the online world, they are making strides, but breaking even and have cross game chat and cross game invite isnt enough, they need to invent new things that dont exist yet like MS did. All I have to say is this, I'm a huge halo fan, I really loved that game the series etc nothing could take me away from my original xbox, wasnt a fan of the PS2 in the least bit, never played GOW series (I will be getting the new one NOv 17th)

Also heres the deal, American devs mostly werent fond of the arch of the CELL Processor but even IBM said, their design is the future so they should get use to it regardless, the old just plain cores are going to fade away in 5 yrs
Well I think the days of investing billions into a processor developement are over,
Revision of CPU, more cores and spus maybe but same style processsor,
elimination of divided memory probably as I think it has bottlenecked them a bit, obviously more ram and faster ram
1TB HD being standard maybe 2TB depending on the market then
Blue Ray of course will still be in there, by that time a 24x Drive im sure

And anyone saying its dying or its dead is a out of their mind, however it is shrinking and its time to face the fact their are new players in town (compared to the pc) game consoles with packing power not equal but hardware dedicated and designed for gaming. Consoles rule PCs eh, not so much anymore
Not bitter cagney, I just find PCs a waste for gaming at this point. every game needing more, its just a logical thing to say we need more stable tranferable platforms and consoles are it, I use my PC for The net and office work, I play it from time to time, back in the day I played quake half life yada yada,its just time to move on from them they are a wasteful pain for games.

I can see why someone would call it comeback, however, if you look at SONY's history of their previous 2 systems, you can tell it is normal for them, not a come back
