...I mean regardless of your feelings about the PS3 you have to admit it's a well built system inside and out.
It simply states that the controls were made to feel smoother and more responsive. The author then goes on a whiny tirade making up facts and comparisons as he goes along. Personally I'm all for more responsive controls.
I think the author has a good point he just doesn't prove it very well. I think he just wants to say that a game's value should be based on the amount of enjoyment you get from it not the numbers of hours you spend with it. However the writer just sounds like an ignorant a**hole when he makes his sweeping generalizations though, for example if you can't or don't buy games very often you're probably going to want one that will last awhile.
...I really am impressed with the versatility that the PlayStation Brand is exhibiting. Even though I won't use every upcoming feature and play every new game I think that it's awesome that they are available to those who will enjoy them.
Some of the earlier PS3 exclusives were total trash... but now almost everyone is an industry trend-setter in someway.
On Topic- The author of this article is seriously pissed at the 360, I mean its okay to ask for more quality games but geez.
It had the ability to look three years into the future and see that the Wii was not the colossal failure it was expected to be.
...then again this game is probably aimed towards the younger demographic which is fine.
Every single level in the original, including all 2.7 million user-created ones, support up to four player co-op and it is something that Media Molecule definitely encourages in the story mode.
But theres no need to bash the 360 just for the hell of it. We're all gamers here.
Like some sort of cross between Team Fortress and Mirrors Edge perhaps? Although I'm a little concerned about the multi/single-player experience, I feel it may lead to a disjointed narrative...I really like what hear about the gameplay though.
...But i assure that what was shown here is just a scratch on the tip of a massive iceberg! Wait until the community has enough time to embrace this game, especially the expert creators.
I'm especially looking forward to all of the new tools available to creators, once the LBP community gets its hands on this game I have no doubt that something amazing will happen. Just take a look back at some of the awesome levels that have been created for the original LBP!
Actually a friend and I had an idea for a videogame after taking a class on World War 2. It would follow the story of German NOT Nazi soldiers at the end of the war. The exhausted and undersupplied soldiers would continue to fight against overwhelmingly powerful armies and watch as their homeland was slowly decimated by the fires of war. If done right it could maybe be a very emotional and eye-opening game...and in no way do I sympathize with the Nazi cause but I do sympathize with the plight...
Correct me if I'm wrong but its appears to be that all of the ps2-compatible ps3s are broken and anything that is not is working fine?
... My 80 gig "phat" is perfectly fine. I deliberately tested it when I heard the news. Also I don't think this is a hack because even PS3s not connected to the internet have been getting this issue. Seems like a big firmware bug with all types of the Ps2-compatible PS3s. Seriously make sure you state whether or not your PS3 is backwards compatible or not from now on.
...but this is nothing earth shattering guys. At least not yet so lets not hype the crap out of it because that only leads to disappointment. Wait for the game to come out and enjoy it for what it is. And stop with the "Reach graphics > Killzone 2 graphics" and vise versa crap, one game is a year old and the other isn't even out yet.

That any article and I mean any article on this site causes a flamewar. Both consoles have very strong line-ups this year. So regardless of which side you're on it's going to be a great year!

The final build of Reach may compare to Killzone visually but the great thing about Killzone was all the bells and whistles it had; such as the Helghast eyes or the blood splatter or the visible wounds on the bodies. Not saying Reach won't do this just from a technical standpoint it might be very hard even for the talented guys at Bungie.
+ Microsoft's strategy is to support already popular franchises and developers and there is nothing wrong with that because we get great games in the process. This year well be seeing Gears 3, Halo Reach, Fable III, Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell.
+Sony's strategy is to try and create new franchises and nurture fledgling studios and that is great too. However this year we'll see some of the ps2 classics (God of War, Gran Turismo, Team Ico) come back along with newcomers suc...
but at least they're not playing Starcraft.
