Yikes, GT5 damage looks better and it isn't even close to being finished. Forza 3 developers must be hoping to rush this game out as quick as possible to avoid releasing alongside GT5.

It must have sucked to buy a 360 at launch for $400-$500, seeing as over half of them are faulty, and that number is still rising. Not to mention how you paid for a base and had to buy all the features on the side (wifi, internet), also the system is not future proof (I mean a DVD drive? Playstation was using those almost 10 years ago.)

I can see why people compare the 360 to the Dreamcast, but Sega would never release something that faulty.
I don't know, Forza might be closer to the Arcade feel, but I think with this gen, players want more of a simulation feel to match the improved graphics. Shift has better physics and is closer to real life.
Neither game is in the same league as GT5, but Shift is definitely the better choice if the alternative is Forza.
Actually IDNMH that is called a "shader", since the PS3 processor is FAR and away better than the 360 it can handle a much more detailed shader.
As you can see in the 360 version, the usual problems surface: Bland contrast, colour range restrictions, poor lighting, poor shadows, less grass being rendered (in some cases less geometry), slow camera movement to hide performance issues... the list goes on and on.

Nah, I have no intention of playing this game. Even though it is completely night and day better in every category than the original 360 beta version... This game is very low on the game quality depth chart on the PS3 console. I understand why many 360 users would have played this game, there wasn't much choice.
Even if you somehow missed the better lighting, shadows, and bump mapping... How can you miss the fact that they are completely different textures?

Forza 3 will probably have 15-20 tracks, with several configurations. GT5 has the upper hand in every category, and their damage modeling already looks better than what Forza 3 has. I've never seen particle effects worse than those in Forza 3.
The funny part in all this is that I don't even have to respond to IDNMH's latest response.

That is not true at all. I had every Sega system, and I am still a fan of the Dreamcast. With that said, Sony has released 3 of the greatest consoles of all time. Just because some Sega fans might hate Sony, don't begin to think that they are any where near a majority.
