Sony never said it was, in fact like Shue mentioned they've said quite the opposite all along, this was just another classic case of the gaming community and by a larger extension the self appointed gaming "journalists" making this out to be something it never was and then turning around and blaming Sony for not giving them something they manufactured out of thin air. Probably for the same reason it mattered to xbox fanboys last gen when the 360 was selling best and Sony fans got to constantly hear about it.
Forget the FPS game it even sold worse then a Playstation remaster, LOL.
They also expected the xbone to be the leading console, they expected Titanfall to make it the leading console, they expected Sunset Overdrive to make it the leading console, they expected Tomb Raider to make it the leading console, they expected if the removed Kinect it would become the leading console.... notice a pattern forming here? Microsoft expects a lot, most of their expectations have fallen flat.
No NPD will just say they sold more. Sony has no need to tell you how many hours their console owners played their games. LOL
