Why are people upset? They said their doing "hundreds" of events leading up to the PS5. So we're just -1 from that tally.
The only reason I decided to get the Series 2 is because its apparently compatible with Series X or I was planning to wait as well.

Their fun to discuss and if a mojor site is reporting it with THEIR OWN sources then it might have some validity. If their just reporting while sourcing an unknown site then NO, It shouldn't be allowed.
That said, rumors are simply that... Rumors. At the point of reporting it could be valid but then plans may change and things get scrapped.
I think the best solution as done in the past is to have these articles CLEARLY identified as such...

Actually purchased a copy of A Plague Tale last week when it was on sale. Once I found out it would be added to GamePass I contacted Xbox Customer support and requested a refund, 2 days later my refund was processed. Not the first time this has happned.
Now I have that internal debate about how badly do I really want to play a game on day one vs. waiitng a few months for it to come to GamePass. A good problem to have I guess.
But no way would I wait for AAA titles like Cybe...

If it is then good riddence.. gaming is already too expensive. Suggesting that "smaller" studio's will fall behind is quite silly when MS has stated indies are the ones benefiting most from the exposure of being on GamePass.

I actually shed a tear when i first saw this. As a gamer, there's nothing I want more than for more people to play games. A device like this warms my heart and extra points to Microsoft for their willingness to share this tech with both Nintendo and Sony at no cost.
