No, just no. It is one of the most important factors in my deciding to purchase a game. For this genre of game, I expect 10 hours of play time. No exceptions.
Remember the days when games came in big boxes? It's been streamlined to a dinky DVD box now. Most don't even come with a manual, just a link to an online pdf. Same goes with game length. As soon as one AAA game decides it's ok to release a 2 hour length game, the rest will follow. Don't let them.
Producers don't do any actual production, no big loss.
Combine one or more items into a new item with a different use. We haven't seen that before? It's been around since early 90s adventure games, and more recently, games like Fallout 3. So no, it is not a "step ahead".
Button-free cover, I could care less. I prefer having a button for it, as it allows for more control. Button-free has a tendency to be glitchy, going into cover when you don't want to. As for other games doing it, Tomb Raider in March of 201...
Games of this genre should be at least 10 hours in length. No exceptions.
Pretty easy to make things in nearly complete darkness to look good. Throw one or two lights in there, and bam, moody. Let's see some daylight shots.
One of those games that stands as a bastion for games being taken "seriously". Which is why people are so willing to overlook it's shortcomings, of which there are many. Take away it's pretensions of serious storytelling and characters, and at it's core, it is a rather unremarkable stealth action game, with a few move-the-ladder sequences for padding. There's nothing in it's mechanics that other games have not done better. Bottom line, I didn't have much FUN ...
Completely unnecessary changes to her face. The original looked very distinctive, now she looks generic as hell.
Wait.. her husband is at 343 in Seattle, Washington, and she's headed to ND in Santa Monica, California. I smell divorce.
97% metacritic says otherwise. Suck it up.
No. They'll just keep plundering every "cool" time period there is. Next up is undoubtedly feudal Japan with samurais. Then Egypt. Then Victorian England.
The people have spoken. Suck it up.
There's more to a dev studio than just three people.
And you like little boys, good for you.
There's a story?
Don't flatter yourself, sweetie. No one wants to see your 12 year old boy's body.
They misspelled Rise.
Agreed. Great game for it's genre, but incredibly overrated. People are willingly turning a blind eye to it's weaknesses, not sure why. I found the gameplay extremely repetitive. Creep around enemies who seem to have no peripheral vision, strangle, repeat over and over. I did not enjoy moving palettes/ladders around, felt like busy work. I liked the limited ammo, but it's not like this is the first game to do this. Harsh and lonely post-apocalyptic world with zombies, heavy focus ...
Was this scene included to arouse or to frighten? Because I can't imagine anything more frightening than Ellen Page nude.
A woman is in charge of the Xbox division. It all makes sense now.
Because of the hype. People are starting to open their eyes now. 6 months ago, I would have never seen comment like yours on here. Now they are cropping up more and more.
