PS4 is out in a little over a week and Scorpio is a year out. Why are these articles popping up when there is no way to do a direct comparison? From the spec sheet, we know what is projected for Scorpio. Until then, it's really pointless to keep speculating.
Why don't Nintendo just make this their 3DS replacement handheld, and make a separate dedicated home console? Imagine Sony joining the Vita and the PS4. Not a good sight.
I like the idea of a 4K PS4. Just like when Sony released the PS3, they used it as a trojan horse to introduce Bluray to the masses. I have a 4K Tv and would love the opportunity to be able to have one device to connect to my television, instead of 3. I have a Sony 4K media player and a 4K Amazon Fire Tv box, plus my PS4. If they release a PS4K, I will gladly purchase it and move my current PS4 into my bedroom. When the PS4 was in the making, the codecs for 4K resolution wasn't finalized....

I'm looking forward to it. It's just going to be a model with H.265 support for 4K movies through Netflix, Amazon, Bluray 4K and the new surround formats. Dolby Atmos and DTS.X. If you don't own a 4K Tv then it wont matter if someone has this console or not. It will still have the same CPU/GPU for games. H.265 codec can only be added with a change in hardware. It can't be added via software.
From what I read was that when they do a Die shrink, they could easily implement the H.265 codec needed to play 4K content. Its not that it would give it the ability to play games at 4K, that would still be limited by the GPU, but give it the ability to play the 4K Blurays, Netflix 4K, Amazon 4K, that will be coming out and have Dolby Atmos and DTX.X surround sound formats.

Being that current gen consoles are already 2yrs old, I don't see why they cant at least match them. I'm sure the price of the components are cheaper than they were considering its old tech.
I have owned a 4K Sony for 2yrs now. No problems. Best picture I could ask for. Just make sure that along with game mode, you turn off any type of post processing modes that enhance the picture for movies.
They should just take away the different colored Engrams and rarities and make one universal colored Engram that the Cryptarch can decode into anything. I was under the impression when I started that your Cryptarch rank made a difference in the chance of getting rare or legendary loot. Makes no sense as to why I can pick up a legendary boot Engram for a Warlock and it gets turned into a Blue set of boots or better yet, up it to exotic for a Titan class that I am not even using.
Seems like they can dish it out but can't take it. I swear, there are people that believe COD is an Xbox exclusive with as much advertising they do for it. How's that medicine taste MS?
I would be happy if Infinity Ward remastered COD 4 MW and released it on the PS4 and XBox One.
It's funny how Microsoft is the "Home of Call of Duty" considering now that the PS4 is the lead platform.

Looks like I will be going back to my PS3 for the new Borderlands. I still have my old systems. PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP with games for each. Although I don't play them, I wont sell them for next to nothing.
From the UE4 tech demos that have been shown, this game will look awesome with that engine. Can't wait.
They don't have to worry. I use Gamestop for all my gaming needs. Where I live there are 5 Gamestops within a 10 mile radius. Only 3 Walmarts in the same 10 miles. Plus I like having my rewards points which I have used countless times for coupons and merchandise. Gamestop also does full refunds on used games within 7 days if you don't like it.
$30 for next gen download, $40 for the disc.

Same here. I have games from PS3 I haven't finished. Still sitting on PS4 Tomb Raider Definitive Ed unopened from launch and Knack unopened. But yet I put almost 1000hrs into Destiny and over 500hrs in The Division. It's games like those that suck the life out of me and keep me away from playing other games in my collection.
