I understand what he is saying. He is saying he thinks most stories in games are always second rate in the way they are told. He thinks games are games and should be treated as such - rewarding that dopamine system the way things like tetris, angry birds and all those apps on your phone. Do i agree? No.
My favourite games of this generation are all story based. As Todd says context given by story add to the immersion of something. Bioshock, Uncharted 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, ...
promising stuff. 3d headset with move or controller in hand. It is not realistic nor wanted i think for Kinect like walking as well. Can you imagine Skyrim with this tech? Would blow my mind

FFXIII was the biggest disappointment. Final Fantasy died after FFX and after Nobou stopped composing.
Un2 at this moment in time is more visually striking. Better looking environments so far - better weather effects, more water, more colours. I played Un2 and then Un3 in succession and 2 was far more interesting.
Also on a side note i think they should incorporate a monsters mode survival in the multiplayer where they send the cursed spaniards in Un1 and blue protectors in Un2 at you. It'll be a whole different experience and one that could fit into the lore.
I think the PS4 will be announced in 2013 e3 for winter launch. It won't be next year as Microsoft wants to ride the Kinect a little longer and Sony won't feel the pressure til Microsoft do. If Microsoft change their mind and release it next year Sony will follow suit. They don't want to fall behind again. Both Sony and Microsoft will be keeping an eye on the Wii U too. If they like the controller they may incorporate it.

I have mixed feelings on MGS5. I kinda want it but i'd want a great story with it. MGS rising i'm not that fussed about to be honest. It'll be cool but i'll miss Snake.
There's no reasonable way that it could be Snake though. They'll need to introduce a new character - but then what is MGS without snake?
There is a lot to like and a lot to improve.
Things to improve:
-sound of guns - sound a bit hollow
- speed up characters a little - a bit more fluid. I'm happy with sprint but normal running needs to be a touch quicker
- calms down kick back lady who keeps telling me to use my kickback,
- makes further illustration which bad guy is what like UC2,
- improves some of the climbing - not always smooth (partly due to slowness...

Hope they sort out the sounds of the guns and the visuals need tweaking. Just played UC2 and it looks a lot better in MP - graphically.
Its good but there are aspects of UC2 i find myself missing.

I like both for different reasons. UC2 had its own charm in terms of multiplayer. Particularly liked the co-op component. It was epic at times! I liked the fact that at times it was just you left after your team mates died - no respawn. Also not having a sprint but a medium pace run was ok.
UC3 has better competitive play - but i think characters move a little slow. Sprint is ok - just different. Also the recoil on guns is better. But so far i have preferred UC2' co-op. M...
yeah 3d will be big but not 3d tvs. The next thing will be holographic tv. 3d tv is simply the interim or another slice of the entertainment pie. Personally i like 3d when its done well but that doesn't improve the script....cough...avatar.....
