I agree. It will make the X1 very hard to pass up for X360 owners. For everybody else though, I dont think it will matter. If I never owned a PS3, then bought a PS4, I would not care much to play PS3 games on it.
It will become the go to console for current X360 owners.

consider this though. The xbox one is a native X86 device. It also can run windows. To what extent is entirely up to MS and the developer of the app. My above example with music DAWs is a great example. this theory can also be applied to animation, design and regular stuff like excel and spead sheet.

Once the productivity/creative apps and KB/M support comes, I can see student lapping up XB1s with their student loans.
Its got a lap top spec CPU and 8GB of ram. Thats just enough to make a song or do a uni level animation short. office allows for dissertations to be done on XB1 and a safe place to store a back up file.

Personally I would be going down to their offices and demanding my money back, If I was a wiiU owner that gave them money. they basically ganked you. they took your money and made xbox and PS4 versions of the game first. MS know they have lost THIS round worldwide, but they have more than enough to wither the storm that they knew they would be sitting in for the rest of this cycle post reveal. They are big enough to absorb the costs and keep developing forward without cuts...unlike some other companies.

Zx spectrum, NES, N64, Xbox and xbox 360. there are no snes games because if memeory serves me correct they worked on nintendo IP during that era, mostly. donky kong and that racing game that use the super FX chip.

Same here. Tempted to buy a WiiU for the virtual console just so I can play those games again. I used to love balloon fight, gyromite, rad racer and wrath of black manta on NES. And time soldiers, shinobi, the ninja, rastan, kensieden, zilllion etc. for master system.

Judging by how TR articles usually end up as the hottest topic on N4G and other gaming sites. I doubt it. They might protest now about not buying it out of spite for the deal, but when everybody is playing list wars they will be including it. Gamers are fickle. the Industry knows that too.
