If that was a 3rd party state of play I'd give it 8 or 9 out of 10.
It wasn't though, it was a playstation showcase where exclusives should be stealing the show.
Outside of spider man, we got cgi trailers for live service games and no dates for anything.
Phantom blade, AW2, DD2 and a few others all looked great.

Bruhhh hands down worst moment, I was like are these mofos taking the piss, and that coming from a hugeeee GT fan, it had absolutely no place being in a game showcase and only rubbed me further the wrong way.
Agreed, it would be nice but Sony don't need to.
But considering it wasn't much of a 1st party showcase, I would certainly appreciate a real Sony showcase with actual game play and dates.

Insomniac in 5 yrs will have delivered spiderman, spider mm, ratchet and clank and spidermen 2 within 5 years of each other which is just insane given the quality of said games.

Had no issues with Sony skipping last yr and would've had no issues if they skipped the showcase this year if they didn't have anything worth showing which let's face it they didn't.
But they chose to hold hold a playstation showcase rather than state of plays, god fordbid I expect them to deliver on that promise like they normally do.
I have no doubts about what's coming or the high quality bar Sony will set yet again.
And I heavily destroyed Ms for for last yr.
And I mean heavily, all yr I stated my xsx was $750 dust collector and was probs one of the worst yrs by major platform holder I have ever seen or experienced.
But this is about Sony, who have always been my main platform since ps1 and who I hold in the highest regard. This was a slip up no doubt about it, it won't effect much obvs but that doesn't change my disappointment in the show.
Considering Ms has been building up to a good show for atleast the last 13 yrs, it would be about dam time.
Wish Sony could've kept the the battle of the showcases interesting though, all Ms has to do is finally show off a handful of 1st party's game they announced what seems like the moment they got greenlit lol
But yea if Ms can't take advantage and have a better showcase than what Sony gave then there is literally no hope left for them.

Like I said don't let the rare slip up fool you, by next show case, expect majority of the big names to be there, and it's not like we need to worry about if those games will be good unlike someone else.

I take both your points and they are valid, but none of those games have those Kojima moments of brilliance to interpret.
MGS games are a different beast compared to anything listed above, if they remain almost fully faithful they will be fine, but id be cautious of changing to much.
