I'd say its not just Nintendo but any Japanese company.. that place has gotten the short end in so many ways, between demographics, corporate culture, nuclear disasters, and the psychological armageddon of being eclipsed by China... Japan has reached the limit of their abilities.
Back before they announced the 9 map limit and 24 player cap on every game mode except stupid conquest, I would agree with you on BF3.
But now, I have trouble seeing the difference... same asinine and irresponsible 'Anglo America Saves the World' story, same weapons, same time frame, same enemies (russia.. poor bastards), same gameplay minus the handful of cartoon vehicles (WW1 Biplane jet combat)...

With the return of dedicated servers and the removal of last stand, commando, and one man army, IW has proven that they listen to feedback.
What pushed me into buying this is the fact that they tailored support killstreaks for my style of play - going for objectives and points while having a low number of kills. Players like me will be rewarded as much as the campers now.

They bash CoD while ignoring the fact that DICE has turned Battlefield 3 into a clone of CoD... nine maps, and 64 players in only one mode. Twenty four players.. a travesty. Most of the games will be small scale twitch fests just like CoD.

I'd rather they had zero hours of 'meh' and just put all their resources into multiplayer. The campaign looks so tired and cliched, been done already and done better.

games workshop is the left out fat kid of the entertainment industry. They inspire (more like get ripped off by) world of warcraft & starcraft, inspire gears (hello chainsaw rifle and beefy overcompensating men in armor), then try and compete with their own franchises (warhammer online and space marine) and can only succeed in imitating their own imitators.

It's stuff like this and the crysis 2 dx11 nonsense that makes PC gaming averse to most gamers. Even if rigs cost far less, and must be updated less frequently, this technobabble and e-peen measuring just scares off potential users.
