I find that the people who complain about "Noob Tubes" are usually also the ones that camp ALL THE TIME. I don't use the Grenade Launcher that often as I prefer the silencer or scope but I've still rarely ever had a huge issue with it. Competent players should know that there are plenty of ways around it, mainly to shoot from far away. I am of the strong opinion that P90's with Rapid fire and Stopping Power are of a much bigger concern than a few grenades. There are plenty of ways to kill people using grenade launchers (sniping, grenades, accurate gunfire, etc.) but it's so annoying when someone comes around the corner with a strong gun that can empty it's clip faster than you can fire a few shots. Only one I don't get is the one for not going into Prestige, especially since it's impossible to get some of the emblems/titles for the later guns if you Prestige quickly. Perfect example is I have a friend who had 6 nukes, without camping I might add, and he got frustrated in one game so he just Prestiged really fast and now he's pissed because he forgot he now has to get all of those again for credit toward the emblem.
I think the biggest reasons for why games have changed are time and availability.
Time: People just don't have the time to sit around all day trying to beat one level, it gets frustrating and adds to the belief that gaming is a waste of time (such as people spending all their time leveling up in WoW). Demon's Souls is one of my favorite games and I thought it was one of the best games this year, but I've also made little to no headway on it without any sort of save or checkpoint...
This is like comparing Halo to Gears, it's absolutely dumb and shouldn't be done. These are two completely different types of games. Digital downloads are good for small games, such as on the DS, PSP, or iPhone. However they are in no way a viable alternative to physical media for full console games. Currently digital downloads of full games take a large amount of time and space. I like how everything remotely awesome about Halo is in cutscenes or was never in the actual game. Halo is media trash that everyone sells out to. It is a good game, but aside from the very first one it doesn't really garner more than an 8. I know absolutely no one will agree with me, but Halo is crazy overrated.
However I do congratulate Bungie. They made a pretty good series and hopefully with ODST they'll improve it more.
Even if they did make one, it wouldn't have a large impact as no games would be made with Blu-Ray discs since people without the add-on wouldn't be able to get the games. Additionally adding on Blu-Ray support will only make HD downloads from XBL decrease so it's highly doubtful they will actually support the format
While I agree that the price cut is important, the article is flawed. FIrst of all, Sony has already commented on saying they've cut down some costs by making parts smaller and easier to mass produce. That means that the "price cut" which isn't supposed to happen according to Sony, will probably come in the form of a cheaper model that is less expensive to manufacture (aka the Slim). Probably just had some bad luck. I mean, the author was using the 60 GB which is the earliest model and is the main one that has these failures, and they send you a refurbished console back.
Just as well, Sony service is FAST. I've sent in both my 360 and PS3 and it took about 2 weeks for the 360 and literally only 2 days for the PS3. Also before any of you freak out at how short the time period is, I live in Texas where the repair center is.
I can technically see the point for the L4D2 part, just because of what happened in the Aftermath, but considering it's called L4D2 with zombies instead of Left 4 Katrina 2 with stranded helpless people it's pretty idiodic.
Not to be nitpicky, but I really don't expect most of the 360 games mentioned to release in 2009 either. In fact, it's already been confirmed that the GTA DLC won't be out till 2010.

Oh yeah totally, cuz it would just save them so much time and money to release a whole other console just with motion controls when they're finally about to break even on the current consoles and developers are really just starting to grasp the capabilities of the system. I've only seen Megan Fox in Transformers where I mainly just care about the giant robots, so I can't really comment on her acting. However I think Angelina Jolie is EXTREMELY overated. Personally I think her acting is decent at best but she gets a lot of buzz because of how she looks. Perfect example, Wanted. That was a dreadful movie but people still say she was good in it. She really isn't that hot either...
I really don't think the review takes the multiplayer into too much consideration. I mean, it rates the replay as moderately low and often game reviewers don't count the multiplayer in their score or anything because then they'd have to count of for single player games not having it. That said I could see it not getting super score, but 7 is definitely not a bad score (it'd be 4/5) and as someone else said about the multiplayer not being online, I'm pretty sure everyone could get a feel for i...
