That was the most anticlimactic trailer ever. Additionally I like how the Lambent suddenly have a prominent role even though they were completely forgotten halfway through and have now suddenly taken sides with the Locust even though the Locust were against them before. Idk, we shall see, but after MW2, Uncharted 2, BFBC2, and GoW3 I was pretty underwhelmed
The Lambo and Viper are all well and good but all I really want to see is the Camaro. C'mon guys, give me screens!
After the first I really wanted to see it on the PS3, but I was pretty let down by the 2nd so I really don't care. That said I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the PS3 now that everyones got a better hold of the tech and since when Gears came out there were no other next-gen systems out yet
Killzone 2 looks better, Crysis 2 looks like a combo of Resistance 2 and MW2's graphics. The gun model especially looks pretty ugly compared to the amazing detail of Killzone 2's
I feel like this is so insignificant that it's not even legitimate for a personal blog. This is the kinda thing you think about, and then forget because it's stupid and completely irrelevant
It's not really going to kill it since Nintendo has already got it's huge ass check, but it will defintitely halt sales and cause people to further question why they need it. Most people I know only use there's when friends are over to play Wii Sports or Super Smash Bros. While the 360 and PS3 can't replicate SSB, they can defintiely exceed Wii Sports and one game does not a console make. With the Wii using last-gen graphics and having few features a 360 or PS3 is going to look a lot more wor...
I've never seen a game this good torn down this much. I was reading comments on GR and there was someone that agreed with me, it's just crazy how some people are so biased against the game when it's so solid on so many levels
Am I the only one who thought Batman AA got pretty repetitive after awhile? I mean, I liked it, but the combat was pretty weak and the boss battles weren't anything special either. Yeah the atmosphere of the game was cool, but in terms of actual story it wasn't anything special for a video game. I'm not saying this to promote Uncharted 2 (although I did love it too) but I feel like a lot of the little things in AA add up and would have definitely brought down the score if it hadn't been the f...
Not Louis! Aside from that I don't really care, none of the other characters were particularly likeable
I can tell you right now that I sure as heck wouldn't have bought my 360 when I did if I hadn't just gotten $300 n trade-ins and they had only just come out so there was only a few on the shelf. As others have said, when there's less of it people are quicker to buy it up for fear that it'll be gone again
I like to think that with freedom of speech comes the fredom to ignore and delete anything pretaining to a service or post you provide as it is yours and anything attached to it that displeases you is fair game to be deleted. I mean that in all seriousness too, id there's people I don't like on XBL live I block them plain and simple
None of these look better than the PS3 scans. The exception to this might be the cars blowing up, but as there was no PS3 shot of a comparable nature it's not like you can really say it's better. The sad thing is that's the shot the site is clearly using to draw people in
I think most of this is attributed to the generally solid multiplayer FPS provides. It's hard to replicate that in an RPG or a Fighter, and it's honestly kinda dumb that neither the author or FF XIII devs can see that an think that the linear aspects define FPS (ever heard of Far Cry?). Some recent RPG's are trying to change that though (White Knight Chronicles & Demon's Souls) so it's not like they aren't trying. As someone else mention Gran Turismo, and racing games in general, can supp...
With Heavy Rain releasing late Feb and FF XIII & GoW 3 both releasing in March it appears that claim will be tested fairly quickly. That's really saying something considering FF and GoW 3 were two of the PS2's biggest franchises and some of that huge user base is guaranteed to purchase a PS3 for their releases. Plus Sony is still competing with itself with the PS2, and if they phase that out this year they're going to have a lot of people looking at PS3's with a cheaper price point. In fa...
I play MW2 for hours on weekends with friends, and on the PS3 version we've only encountered cheating one or two times, and then it was always the Javelin glitch. I can't speak for the 360 version, but in all honesty I think if it's that big of an issue you should just get it for PS3. People are making a really big deal about a game that was obviosuly going to be targeted due to it's popularity and is still an amazing shooter. I see why the author could be frustrated, but for a release this b...
I'm thankful Microsoft is no longer using their money to benefit only themselves, but has made it a point to advertise for Sony as well on a site that probably reciteves the vast majority of it's visits from Playstation users.
I could see this having some effect on IGN or Gamespot, but as countless people have said, FF is such a Playstation brand name that anyone who follows the series already knows it'll be on PS3 and is already planing to buy it on PS3
Past God of War and Gran Turismo I don't see the big deal about either systems line-up this year. In fact, this year seems to gear more toward multiplats with games like Crysis 2, FF XIII, and Bioshock 2. I was more excited for Mass Effect 2 then any other 360 game on the list, but with a more than capable PC there's still no reason to keep my 360
The demo really wasn't anything special. I don't know about the Marines (although all the Marine players quit) but it seemed pretty unbalanced since the Aliens could crawl everywhere and are melee based, which wouldn't be a big deal but the Predators have to find all their weapons before they can use them and they have cruddy invisibility. If the Predators had full invisibility, more like Resistance 2 instead of Halo, then I feel like it might be a little more balanced if only because without...
It's all about preference, and once you get two amazing games like this you can't really say one is better than the other. I can see where the writer is coming from, enjoying it more because it's his decisions, but plenty of other people prefer to follow the story through another character that way they can play as that character and enjoy learning about that character because that character is a vision of the developer and not the user making choices and such. For myself, I prefer Uncharted ...
This is very interesting considering Halo and MW2's stories were better thana Crysis' "kill the aliens again" story and Killzone 2 looks better than Crysis 2 in the screenshots released so far. Don't get me wrong, I like Crysis and it's fun but it's not all that steller (especially in story) so I don't really see what gives them the right to brag...
