It's releasing this year. There is no benefit to them passing up the holiday season. The console is what is and Sony isn't going to go back to the drawing board to match the Scorpio specs. It would be stupid for them not release it year. They have a much bigger advantage getting it out as early as possible.
You must have really been bored with it. It's a short game. It only takes about 8 hours to complete, if you aren't going for completionist. Took me just under 14 hours to get 1000 GS.

I use dash or hood view. The steering is more precise. With a wheel cockpit view is awkward, seeing another set of hands and wheel in front of yours is distracting.
If it's like Gears ultimate you'll get your a** handed to you. No aim assist on PC version.
I don't see how people race in 3rd person view, it drives me crazy.
It's been a while since I played it, but I still have a number friends that play it daily. I don't really think it needs "saving".
