Picking it up regardless. Just hope the challenge is still there. Ninja Gaiden Black was one of the most challenging and fun games I have ever played. NG2 was really good too. I don't want to see God of War type QTE sequences for all the bosses. That's going to cheapen the experience.
I'm sure Sony is doing something but releasing a simple firmware isn't going to solve the problem. You are still going to have ps3's with the hack and the possibility of ruining your online experience.
COD is the biggest online game for the ps3 so I expect most of the cheaters on that game. Other multiplayer games with a smaller fanbase should be safe.

Online cheaters just piss the hell out of me. Adding these aim-bots just to boost their score or whatever. Hardcore insecurity issues is the problem. I'm sure Sony is doing something to try to combat this. They need to take a page from the Xbox Live book and look at their superb online security. Cheaters SUCK!

It's a real shame that the ps3 doesn't have a better online security to combat things like this. I remember my days in Halo 2 where cheating was rampant. 6 out of 10 games had cheaters. We had tricks to try to combat by listening to the drive spin in our xbox to see if the downloaded maps were being used. HAHA! Fortunately, Halo 3 and Halo Reach has zero cheating.

It happens. Microsoft is pretty good on getting this fixed pretty quickly. It never lasts more than a few hours. Still miles ahead of the PSN who suffers multiple online problems especially with their multiplayer games. I see some people here are misinformed and believe Halo Reach was hacked. Hands free is stupid. Have a gun prop and be able to move around and dodge incoming attacks. An arcade game called Emergency 911 was like this and it was a blast.
Wait a minute. You say Microsoft rapes your wallet yet you praise Yamauchi's GT5? First they released a paid demo than they release the final product where you have the majority ported over from the ps2. Only a handful of cars are ps3 worthy. A game that was promised the world and ultimately failed. Not sure what world you came from, but that screams raping your wallet.

Another dark shooter??? No thanks. I might give the campaign a whirl if I hear good things about it. But I'll pass on the multiplayer. Looks like the same ole multiplayer formula that I been playing for years.

Well looks like Atari just lost all hope with this game selling. Free Radical and Factor 5 both pretty much close their studios down because of their extremely low sales. Looks like Atari is next.
