This is one part that bugged me at first. But there is a few things using Kinect is just faster. Now there is a hand full of things I do use Kinect for and friends is one of them. Xbox go to friends, Xbox go to party are with in my top use Kinect commands. I just say it and I'm there. It's faster then it was on the old one now.

This happened to me to. I found that you have to do a little maintenance. You have a lot of things going on and it seems if you have to many things going sometimes things lock up or refuse to work. What I have found to fix this is you have to quit old apps running. So in the dash hover over any apps that are open or you used before and press the start button (3 lines) and go to quit. Mine is working fine no issues. The down load game toke a while, but really not to long since I was able to play as it went. Think it toke maybe 45 minutes for a full DL and 15 minutes before it let me play. My disc game BF4 installed really fast and it pretty much let me play right away.
I will be tring the USB update if it did this to me.
But you can make it as less cluttered as you like or cluttered to the max. You can have only what you want and use on there or go nuts. Plus you have control where it is on the dash.
Play in hard core then you don't have to worry.
Agreed, this is the first generation I want to go all digital just for that reason. Yet on the other hand. I have never traded in none of my games hard copy until the very end of a Gen. Just to put it in to buying the next thing. It has always came out paying for the system afew games and extras like controller or what not. Now going digital only I will not be able to do this next generation for the first time in 20plus years I been gaming.

I had this same Idea when I first used GPS. The lay out is there just need to put it into a game. Then maybe add in Google streets and you have all the houses and layout of the land in place.
