Couple of things...
1) Sony doesn't need to counter back. Microsoft made a big move sure, but that doesn't automatically mean Sony must now make the next move in some unseen game of chess.
2) If Sony DID feel the need to do some studio acquisitons its important to note that: a) they JUST acquired Insomniac about 6 months ago and b) They have nowhere NEAR the capital Microsoft has to throw around. Microsoft could close Xbox up tomorrow and still survive. Son...
Why are we normalizing remasters for games that have been out for 1-2 years? I have the same issue with Control. They should at least be making the PS4 version BC so I can play it on PS5 without having to pay.
I'm fully expecting a partnership with SEGA. Not an acquisition just a Game Pass deal to bring SEGA games to Game Pass. Possibly even retro titles from the Genesis, Dreamcast, Master System days.
Remember 🇪🇺 and 🇬🇧 currencies are worth more than the 🇺🇸 and should therefore reflect that price. Even with tax included £80/€80 is wildly outrageous.
Edit: For comparison sake thats equal to ~$100 in both accounts. Tax in the 🇺🇸 is NOT $30.
GPU - $15
Contents:
Game Pass Console - $10
Game Pass PC - $10(price just increased)
xCloud - ???
Xbox Live - $10
EA Play - $5
Total - $35+ (the cost of xcloud is unknown)
Certainly not the same price.
There are several games that overlap but for instance Age of Empires is a GP PC game and not on console.
The original Xbox library was stacked...
I often forget PUBG isnt f2p... This would have been great 2 years ago, but PUBG just isn't interesting these days...
Honestly it would do playstation wise to remove cloud saves from PS+ and make it free for everyone.
Xbox has done it this generation and it's honestly great. There's also no limit like on PS.
Wait. Seriously asking, didn't the Xbox controller have haptic feedback this generation
Game Pass rocks
This has nothing to do with Halo... Its about Horizon not being as good of a PC port as people hoped.
If you want to talk about Halo, need I remind you Halo: MCC has sat in the top 5 best seller list on Steam for quite a while now. And reviewed better on PC than it did on Xbox.
PC players don't care about console marketshare or popularity. The quality of game is all that matters.
It fully depends on the developer/publisher/licensing.
Many ganes are still in from the very beginning of Game Pass. I believe the shortest amount of time I've seen a game come and go was about 6 months though.
But as shown there are always new games coming in.
The added benefit of Gane Pass though is that you recieve a 20% discount on any game that's a part of Game Pass. So if, like you stated, you would rather own whichever game you're playing, you would at least have that small, yet significant discount applied.
Literally everything they've been announcing in the last two weeks. Pay attention. To start they've gotten rid of all of the people that had accusations brought against them, including several high level executives.
Ubisoft has actually been handling this entire thing quite well and is setting important precedents for the industry.
Important to bote that It is a beta. After two matches I can say they have a great foundation, but it still needs quite a bit of polish.
Most games have this goal though :P Its gonna have a some stiff competition, but I must admit the Silent Hill-esque dual world angle is quite a draw.
Breath of the Wild was considered a masterpiece and one of the greatest games ever made. It released on current and last gen hardware.
Its silly to alienate so many players from being able to play games they want to play. Sony is making 10 Million PS5's for launch. That means ~90 Million PS4 owners won't get to play anything PS5. Thats ludicrous.
Xbox understands not everybody will be able to immediately upgrade. So they're making first pa...
Its weird he says "we can't" when he should say "we won't".
Whether you agree with their tactics or not Xbox is proving you CAN take everyone with you.
So for Sony not to be taking their PS4 players with them is just saying they won't do it. Which of course isn't a bad thing.
Xbox and PlayStation have different approaches. No way of knowing yet which one will work better.
The article actually points out that it's not to do with smoking, but it's basic chemistry.
