It depends on the reactiveness of the company tbh. EA for instance could give 0 shits how many people they piss off. MTX is their primary revenue source. Its not going anywhere.
Microsoft at least had the sense to listen to the feedback they received, but not every company has that sense, or even cares.
Thats not even logical. People would have said the same thing for charging for PSN.
Xbox 360 did it but PS3 was free. Microsoft received plenty of flak for it. Yet once the PS4 launched Sony jumped in.
Saying Sony won't because Microsoft gets hate for it is not sound reasoning.
This is a rather dumb move. Its clear they're looking to entice people onto Game Pass Ultimate, but this is a terrible way to do it.
They should simply phase out Xbox Live Gold and have the benefits folded into Game Pass Ultimate rather than whatever the logic was behind this move.
While I agree the industry needs new IP I also think its perfectly okay to do big licensed games now and then. We still get our fresh entries like our Ghost of Tsushimas and our Oris.
But if we NEVER did licensed games we wouldn't have great games like Fallen Order or any of the anime titles that fans enjoy.
Phil has literally stated he can't talk about it until the Bethesda deal is officially and legally closed. It's not murky at all. People just can't be patient enough to wait for the answer.
Downvoted because your son likes Indiana Jones? Why would a wholesome comment like this get negative feedback? Some people man...
I'm curious to ask somebody looking forward to something like a 3080ti(or any equivalent PC part).
What would make you want to spend likely ~$2000 for a single PC part rather than $500 for a Series X? Especially if its for the sake of a single game?
I'm genuinely curious why I see people say they'd rather build a $1000 PC to play Xbox games rather than spend $300-$500 for a console? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
So many articles telling people they HAVE to play Half-Life: Alyx.
VR tech isn't cheap. And some people simply don't have the space. If it was such a must play they probably shouldn't have released it for VR only...
Listen... We don't NEED one. I mean I have a perfectly fine emulator on my pc.
That said, I still WANT one. So I can waste $80+ on something I don't need. Please.
With enough dev support, TemTem is likely to be a decent Pokemon competitor. Especially given it's not exclusive to Nintendo. If Pokemon is still clowning around with its next installment I would expect TemTem to really ramp up its popularity.
Game Pass PC too!
There were so many other incredible games though... TLOU2 winning GOTY would be fine if it hadn't swept despite such stiff competition. For the other games like GoT and FFVIIR to barely win anything despite also being near masterpieces seems odd.
I think its important to note that Genshin Impact is a fully mobile experience. Sure it has MTX, but what multiplayer game doesn't these days. Genshin Impact proved mobile can have full fledged games just like console can.
Hahaha you made a harmless joke about how Sony devs keep getting hired on by an XBOX studio and N4G users hated you for it. Hahahaha so funny because even jokes about Microsoft get downvoted. Hahaha N4G is a perfect unbiased gaming community. Hahaha
Give somebody two copies of the game for the price of one? Why would they do that?
Do you have a source?
There are three Bethesda studios. The original studio responsible for the single player Elder Scrolls and Fallout did not make Fallout 76.
1. I widh media would stop fueling console war bs, but "gotta get those clicks".
2. Sony has 'beaten' Microsoft at launch lineup if anything. The generation isn't even a week old for crying out loud.
3. Demons Souls isn't for everybody. Therefore not everyone is going to be getting it. Therefore the launch lineup only works for those interested in the games made available. Subjectivity is not objective truth.
...
That's hyperbolic as hell, but yes, PS5 has a great lineup. I'm not really excited for Demons Souls but I'm about to start Miles Morales when it finishes its install!
It is a great Bioshock though. And my personal favorite of the series. Just because it isn't in Rapture doesn't make it bad.
