The best part was when he said "ok we are going to bring the violence down for a second" and then pretty much the most violent part happens XD
Ya I think thats what I'll be doing to. It will be cool to see other people's reactions to some of the announcements made. I wonder how the Home servers will hold up with the increased traffic during e3.
Portable Ops was awesome IMO. And for a PSP game, it had a pretty cool online mode. I think people might still be playing it today.
Why, its also on the PC, which if the reviews are good, and the game is what I think it is, I'll probably get it on that platform. Not a problem at all :D
Developers have to stop using the Unreal Engine 3. If the industry is going to move forward, they have to stop using the same engine over and over again.
Ya I think this is the latest it has ever come online(that I can remember at least).
Too bad nothing in the update interests me :(. Oh well next week is e3, and there should be a plethora of stuff to download.
I think he was talking about it didn't sell millions in the US, which of course = the world.
/sarcasm
Folklore has only sold something like 0.2 million or so. Doesn't a greatest hits game usually have to have over 1 million sold + be out for a certain amount of time(1 year?)
^Ya I believe I read in an interview somewhere, to save on R&D, Sony will use the cell again, but at a higher clock speed, and possibly with the 8th SPU enabled. That would also make the transition from programming on the PS3-4 much easier.
I wouldn't be surprised if it did actually, or at least something similar. I bet it is surprisingly comfortable, even if it looks pretty lame.
maybe, but at least it not quite as ultimate as the rocket launcher in Killzone2.
First of all, you don't get extra body armor in Uncharted, and second of all, in Uncharted you are going to have to account for gravity, unlike in Killzone where the rockets go straight. So some skill will be involved. But if the splash damage radius is huge, then it won't matter how good you are at aiming, just lob them over in the general direction of the enemy, and presto you are using a noob w...
Ya the super long matches are the easiest way to get the air support ribbon, and corinth crossing is the easiest for it IMO. But with these new powers for the airbots, it should make things even easier.
Actually in his defence, he did mention that the gameplay is better, so to him, graphics + gameplay == quality.
Thats the one that impressed me the most as well. Some decent lighting going on there.
Incorrect! Haze alone sold 0.7 million, killzone 2 is at 1.6 million and still rising, and lair sold 0.35 million. Banjo has only sold about 0.5 million
And since sales = quality to you, even haze is better than Banjo, and I have played the Haze demo, and it not good, so Banjo must be about 50% worse.
This may sound crazy, but if they make it for the PS2, they should also make it compatible with the PS3, that way it will be a larger incentive for people to buy it. It could be a blue tooth device, but for the PS2, it will require a USB receiver of somesort. I think this way it would maximize sales, and is probably the best way to combat the wii.
My only concern with this game is that it will be one QTE after another. I'm hoping that this will be sort of like a next gen Lighthouse, but without the fantasy stuff. I'm hoping that most of the gameplay will be puzzles and exploration. I don't need weapons or anything, Lighthouse was crazy awesome, and I haven't seen a game with similar gameplay since Lighthouse.
I didn't realize that 1.6 million < 1.2 million.
I was going to say the exact same thing about the speed of the Blu Ray Drive was the bottleneck with the MGS4 install.
Bubbles++;
EDIT: I wonder how Linux would perform on the PS3 with the SSD.
GT5:P was 1080p @60fps. Why would they bring it down to 30fps? Maybe you are thinking of the replay videos, which are 30fps(though maybe they will get it up to 60fps for the final release, though that would be pushing the engine pretty far given the crazy amount of extra detail there is during replay).
