I'd say there is a pretty big difference between versions. Though the one I am posting could be a real time cutscene, where as the ones in the article could be in engine, but in video format, which could allow for more AA or whatever.
Pretty bad score, but he gave some really good reasons why it was dissapointing. Having no career mode is a huge disappointment, but I suppose it is probably not as big of a deal since the game is meant to be played in shorter sessions.
But I don't get the ability to only buy certain brands of vehicles on certain days. I don't get that design decision.
Oh well, I will still probably get the game anyways. The game should have huge re playability even without career...

Thats a huge number! It is obvious games sell systems in Japan. I think it is the biggest factor over there.
If this comes to North America(and B3yond!), then I am totally getting this. Looks very unique, and could have a cool story.
I wonder if this will include Fury?
Ya I agree. For an OS like windows, which only comes out every once in a while, a clean install is really the best way to go.
However for Ubuntu, and several other distros, there is a new version every 6 months, so a clean install every time is both tedious, and perhaps a little unnecessary. Perhaps for the LTS releases it would makes sense though :)
The install doesn't take very long, but the download took me like 2 hours! Then again, I did download 9.04 like the second it went online, so there servers were probably being crippled by like 1 million people download an OS simultaneously :P
But ya, the install was fast and easy.

ah yes you are correct. Ignore my previous posts :P
Ya, assuming I am actually right about what I said...
Suppose if the PS3 allowed development on all 7 SPEs(1 would still be reserved for the OS), then if all 7 SPEs were being used fully, then there would be lots of traffic on the fsb, which would cause a backup for the cpu and memory and probably the rsx as well. This might cause frequent frame rate drops. So using only 6 SPEs, would reduce this problem.
But like I said, I am not entirely sure on the accuracy of m...
It is supposed to yield better bus performance since there will be less information going there at once. This eliminates a possible bottleneck.
Your the misguided one. Look at the date of that video. The video even has a disclaimer at the beginning which points that out.
I'd get it, and make some epic RPGs for the system :D
MGS4 would probably not work since it is not a constant 60 fps. I'm pretty sure that the game has to be 60 fps for the 3d to work properly.
I think you're right.

EDIT: And here is the ps3

Its up to the developer. Games like UTIII have free just about everything, and Sony had no problem with this.
Here Valve wanted the DLC to be free, but MS would not hear it, and forced there to be a price. If L4D were on the PS3, that DLC would probably be free.
Wow the Open Zone is a strange place today...
Indeed. There is quite a bit of crap that comes out of EA.
I found a screenshot of the 360 version which seems to have similar cutscene quality(Probably a video/scripted cutscene).

The PS3 version still looks better. The edges seem to have better AA or something.
