I'd personally like to see a company go back in time for their game advertising. Mega Man 9 could be a prime contender for this since it's being designed to be as old-school as it can be on the modern Wii. A sharp shot of a couple of teens on a couch looking all excited about 8-bit graphics could be a really brilliant spot if it's done right.
I'll have to wait and see about this. Racing games don't need storylines. It should be about the cars, not some Fast and Furious copycat story.
I walk everywhere or take public transit. I don't have a car so for me my only carbon emissions are my gaming habits. So I'm probably close to being carbon neutral. Great article guys!
I don't think I'm the only one who wants this game really bad. I know it's not far off, but still looking forward to it.
It's a great game, maybe after a few more sites review it the average will go up, but 8.9 isn't bad by any means.
You know, Dead Space is the sort of game that you wouldn't expect to come from EA. I'm glad they've started to broaden their horizons and not just relase the same stuff over and over.
AI is such a difficult thing to do because a computer doesn't have the same sort of rudamentary mental capacity that humans do. There's a great book called "On Intelligence" that's really worth reading if you guys are interested in this subject. It applies to AI in general. Great Article andrew, keep it up!
I'd think the reason to go back would be pretty obvious, to tie up loose story ends between the original and X arc.
There's a few there that I could have done without, like AFI and Linkin Park. Whatever, I'm just stoked they finally put in some Dream Theater. That song is going to be insane.
Nice Podcast guys. It really does sum up what went down, and doesn't run longer than the conference did. There's something to be said about saying what's got to be said, and not filling it up with other fluff.
Yes, more TV shows would've been cool. Especially more that had Bas Rutten in them. :)
Practice what you preach. People in Glass Houses shouldn't Throw Stones... Any number of saying can apply here. Serves him right.
If you guys haven't checked this game out, you really should. At least try out the demo.
I like the format. Now when the heck are you going to get me on?
Will EA close the deal before GTA4's release? Probably not. These things do take a lot of time to go through.
A console port of AudioSurf would be great. You can get music into the 360/PS3 easily, so it should be nice.
This game still looks weird to me. Charming, but weird.
Seems kind of cool, I'm just wondering if I'll be able to wrap my brain around all of that when the game comes out.
I have to agree with Sonic, but at the same time it only takes one good game to get the series back on track. We haven't seen that good game yet. Hopefully we will in the not too distant future. Oddly, the best game featuring Sonic to date isn't even made by Sega. That game is SSBB by the way, maybe that's all Sonic needs to turn himself around.
I'm going to have to take a wait and see stance on this game. Star Wars games have been either hit or miss lately, and getting my hopes too high usually leads to disappointment. It does certainly look interesting, but we'll see how all this fancy tech blends together.
If reviews were to become even less relevant then we'd be out of a job. I mean really, when I write a review and put feedback into it I am hoping that some of that feedback will filter back to the developers. I certainly don't want to be made pointless by the hype machine. Marketing does have its place for sure, but I think there should really be a limit to how far the saturation should go.
