I was a PC gamer well before the consoles got huge and you're right, I rarely had any issues when playing Counter Strike or UT. It also took some intelligence for someone to set up a LAN game instead of firing up the console.

Good pt. Bubbles. Although, its frequent across the board in a ton of games and especially in single player DM. Im 26 and I have no kids, thank god, but I fear that its going to be regulated by an outside source because gamers cannot regulate themselves. Its give us all a bad name.
I have not given up on XBL yet nor will I because I use it everyday, but its just lame that the only way to get away from all the BS is self-exodus and that doesn't seem just.

COD4 has a very loyal fan base, but the vehicles will add a new aspect that you can't get in any of the current top shooters. Halo 3 has some, but they are very limited.

I loved COD2 on the 360 as a launch title. When I played COD3, I wanted to vomit with rage. COD2 was the GOTY in 2005, albeit it did not have much competition. COD3 was awful. COD3 made Haze look like House Party 2.

I wouldnt call Mario Kart a killer app. The Wii is a great console, but the novelty is starting to wear off. They do continue to sell at record rates, but the friend codes and lack of voice chat is awful. I have to talk through skype to play Smash or Kart. I'll cough up 6 bucks a month to not have to do that.
Its getting a lot better, they just need it to be a little more streamlined. i.e the demos and the storage prompts.

It seems to me like they cornered the gamer TV market with some good programming and used their ratings to lure syndicated programs in order to secure advertising. The last time I watched G4 was for the Halo 3 launch. Since, its just rehashed Spike TV BS.

Drop in and drop out co-op is awesome. That was a major problem with Halo 3. If a buddy has to leave, everyone is screwed.

Since when did it become chic to admit you are a loser because its video games? It isn't like gaming is the thing the kids who couldnt play sports did after school anymore. Video games are more relevant to society then ever and this guy can suck my ass.
