I have my copy of BF3 pre-ordered. I'm in the UK though so I still don't have it, therefore, I downloaded it so I could at least get through the single player in the meantime. Having a great time.

A pirated copy doesn't equal a lost sale, piracy doesn't necessary equal lost revenue. Also, although I agree with the general stigma of piracy, I must say it's incredibly hypocritical to whine about pirates if you purchase second hand games.

But how would this differ to just plugging in a standard usb kb/m?

Can we get these in England? If so then I might just buy a pair.

If someone came into my room and gave me a free kinect then I obviously wouldn't complain, I'd probably use it on occasion and things would be fine. The problem is they're not free, they're quite expensive and right now there's nothing I can do with it that makes me interested in the slightest. Why is that so hard for developers to understand?

I enjoy both methods. I prefer the mouse for precision and control, I prefer the controller for the comfort. The thing that really influences my decision is the aim assist. There's nothing that annoys me more in shooters than having my aiming messed with. Unfortunately, that pretty much accounts for all gamepad based shooters and so I avoid them when I can.

Where does this really fit in? Surely the hardcore racing gamers will have proper steering wheels, the average gamer will prefer using a thumbstick and the casual gamer will be expecting to use their kinect?

This could be XBOX360 on PC, which would be inefficient and completely go against the point of having a console game in the first place (consistent and streamlined hardware with tailored software).

Alternatively this could be the XBOX Live service attached to native PC games, similar to windows live. In which case they'd likely try and charge a fee for it to keep both services consistent and be laughed at by the community.

Or, perhaps, this is just some ...

I feel sorry for him, he has great vision and challenging ideas. His failures are in his inability to compromise with the technology and time his team have available. Even if he could make the perfect game with unlimited resources he's utterly pointless if he can't make a good game out of a realistic studio.

EDIT: Actually no, I'm not sorry for him. He has a great career and is probably much better off than me. SCREW YOU MOLYNEUX!

You shouldn't have to pay for security, your details should be kept safe without financial incentive. You also shouldn't have to pay for P2P online gaming, you've already purchased the game once. Since there's no reason to pay for your internet connection twice the only thing left that you're really paying for is the extras like netflix, but don't you have to pay extra for that as well?

Reviews for sequels rarely work the same as the original games. The original will be measured as a stand alone game against all others, a sequel gets measured by a function of how significantly it improves upon the franchise and only with respect to that is it then weighed against other games.

I've played both, I enjoyed infamous 2 significantly more than the first. I also agree with most of the reviews.

Maybe that would be because Move controls suit shooting games, rather than the extreme fanboyism of this website (and well done on not contributing towards that /s).

I wasn't planning to pick this up, but this is a real shame. I don't understand why it would be so short as it doesn't look like it would be hard to develop levels for it. Having said that it's still clearly a good game, just not worth the full price tag.

@Trollpolice, you're trying too hard.

@Washington-Capitals indeed you'll get disagrees but you don't deserve them. I loved both killzone 2 and 3 but the characters are boring and stereotypical, the universe has a fantastic story but the campaigns just don't do it justice. I still adored both games, online and offline, and although I've never played any GoW game all the way through I suspect I'd enjoy them in a similar fashion.

If a game, especially a shooter, has a good enough atmosphere and g...

Whilst I don't disagree that there are fanboys present (on both sides) are you not demonstrating fanboyism yourself by disregarding all criticisms?

I think it's great that they're adding more options to the game and I'm sure the players will enjoy it. But this isn't kinect doing hardcore gaming. This is kinect doing a mini-game within a hardcore game, and personally I'm still frustrated with microsoft after being so excited over natal for almost a yea...

Move definitely put my dualshock to shame, but personally I find the sharpshooter was too bulky to reach the same level of precision. I'd recommend leaving out the sharpshooter to begin with unless your hearts really set on it.

I disagree. I think people need a soft introduction to Move controls before they can really feel the benefits. Adding the option of Move as an alternative control option allows people to either stick within their comfort zone or try out something new and beneficial.

Excluding the option for the dualshock is just going to alienate the fanbase and there's no reason for it since they can both be implemented so easily into shooting games. I say let the hardcore gamers choose...

For the bulk of my gaming I have no interest in trading off control and accuracy for a bit of added immersion. However, I tried Move with Killzone and once I'd practised turning quickly it started to feel almost as accurate as a mouse pointer. For the first time I feel like I'm able to sit back into a sofa and play games without dealing with a trade-off in precision.

The added fun and immersion you get with Move is an added plus to me. Control, gameplay and precision ...

I think small scale DLC should be free because a paid DLC system encourages developers to purposefully hold content back. I also feel the second hand games market right now is a scam for everyone except the games retailers. Therefore, an ideal future as far as I'm concerned is one where all DLC is free for first hand buyers but online play is still available to second hand buyers.

With that system it means developers that hold content back won't be punishing the first...
