I did not expect this. I though the PS3 would outsell the X360 by 30k or 40k in August, now this was surprising.
Everybody is saying the PS3 is outselling the X360 worldwide... anybody has links of other country sales beside USA, UK or Japan (those are the only countrys i know that have number sales)?
The only link i know that has world sales is www.vgchartz.com, and those numbers are made up. Anybody has a valid link?
In two years time (or three, as is most likely to be at 2011) processors advance (more cores, i don't know if that will help, but what the hell), graphical power advance, more RAM, faster HDD (ever heard of SSD with at the time will be much cheaper then they are now), USB 3.0, etc, etc. In two years time the graphical power of the cards will be about double or triple the power they have now. Fanboys are funny. PS3 fanboys keep talking about PS3 momentum. What the hell is that. They sell 20k or 10k more then the X360 in NA a month, and now officially PS3 are on a momentum? Are you kidding me. If they had the sales of the Wii then that would be a momentum.
In 2005 if someone told me that the PS3 would fight for the 2nd place of the console "war". I would not believe them. As for the X360, i expected more or less the sales that they are having.
Well i guess the time has arrived... developers should forget Directx (Microsoft already does not give a crap about PC gaming) and start developing PC games with OpenGL (like some companies already do). Do that and most users would probably start using a different OS besides Windows :)
Personally i think it is a mistake if Microsoft forgets PC gaming, but i guess it's there call. Microsoft may regret it on the future.
