They've spent more time and money on this than the console. I seriously doubt they're gonna sell the console without it, at least until they've already got a high enough install base.
After they have a big enough install base I wouldn't put it past them to try to implement it again. They patched it out, they can patch it in.

Official reviews have been dead for me for a long while now. I always read 'em for shits and giggles though, just to see what they say. At the end of the day they are opinions, but still, game "journalism" has a long way to go. I'd rather read a whole bunch of user opinions and kinda see what aspects stick out the most, positive and negative. I always play the game anyways, but I like to see what I think, what the general consensus is and then see what the "professional...

Resogun was under my radar until I saw more on it. It's actually kind of crazy. Everthing physical is made of voxels, little physical squares that are totally separate. I honestly don't see them doing an SKU without kinect. Kinect is the identity they chose for the X1, and it's the reason for the disparity in multi-plat games. I'm not saying that it's ~10% resource allocation has anything to do with it either. I mean they spent all their time and money on the camera and less real world assets in the console.
Personally, I think it would be a mistake for them to release the console without Kinect. Unless they were gonna charge...
