Kinect is for families.
Hence the 'Kin' in the name. And combination with the word 'connect'. Families... connecting... by playing together.
It's laboured, but makes sense. In a marketing kind of way.
Yeah, but I don't see how these ads persuade the people who bought Wii to buy Kinect. According to these ads it doesn't offer anything different, apart from no celebrity endorsement. And we all know that Wii sales have pretty much fallen off a cliff in recent times.
Also, the ads hardly show the games at all so people can't even see what kind of experiences they will have or will be buying.
These ads are a massive fail in my book.
There's so much variety in Gran Turismo 5, could Polyphony be losing focus with the game?
I can see the argument: I want to drive my car on my TV. That's it. Just like Yamauchi's original concept for Gran Turismo.
They've got the whole aspiration thing right though – "your family could be this wholesome, if only you buy them Kinect!"
Can any real family relate to these ads?
These commercials/adverts finally confirm what we've suspected all along – that Kinect is for casual gamers and casual gamers only.
Microsoft is only after that Wii market/money.
Will Kinect ever be used for more core games? Or – more importantly – could it ever be used for more core games?
That's the first Castlevania score I've seen that's not over 9. What's up with that gamestm? And an 8 for Deadly Premonition? Come on!
Console gaming owes much to innovations made on PC.
Let's hope it never dies.
Really looking forward to this – Criterion is the perfect match for the Need For Speed series.
This and GT5 – the only two racers I'll need all year, and probably next year too.
Molyneux would probably love this. Or at least his ego would.
Looking forward to seeing how this multiplayer stacks up against COD. And against BFBC2.
Agreed. PS3 screen tearing is horrendous. And just wait till you get a lot of zombies on screen at once... the frame rate is destroyed.
And don't get me started on the lack of checkpoints / poorly positioned save points...
Dead Rising 2 on PS3: Capcom has not learned from the first game's mistakes.
But chopping up masses of zombies is still fun.
Justification for getting a new PC? Maybe.
LOLZ
I'm pretty sure that Sony Pictures came out a while ago and thanked PS3 for winning the HD format war for them and pledged that BLu-ray wouldn't appear on another console this generation.
Don't think that MS even has the option of Blu-ray for 360.
What did you say about my momma?
JAAAAAASSSSSSOOOONNN!!!
(sorry, couldn't resist)
This is by a creator called Julesy Jules – if you're a Star Wars fan you should definitely check out his levels on the original LittleBigPlanet. They are awesome.
Check out the flOw video too. Can't wait to see what else people come up with in the next few weeks/months.

I'm glad to see a classic franchise get revived and in such a brilliant way with Lords of Shadow.
