They took the source code for Thrill Kill and made it into Wu-Tang: Taste The Pain, which wasn't half bad really, cool soundtrack.
StarCraft Ghost did seem like a great concept. An almost Splinter Cell-style title set within the StarCraft univese. It's still a good concept today. I guess we'll never know what caused Blizzard so much trouble with it.
The Sonic game, Sonic X-Treme is still being made by fan communities last time I checked. I'd like to see what they manage to do with what was left of the source code.
I don't write for them, I'm just a long-time fan of their work, so I can't speak on their behalf as much as you'd like me to.
However, it's entertaining to see you get so bent out of shape over harmless article posted up by a harmless site. if this sort of thing gets you THAT angry, you must have a really dull life.
Utterly pathetic behaviour.
That's how websites stay in business.
Do us a favour, don't ever start your own company. With this attitude you'll be homeless and begging for spare change within a week.
It's not as black and white as Japanese games = good, Western games = bad. If a Japanese dev really wants to let a western studio have a go at making a game for them, then the Japanese studio should still oversee the process, not let some newcomers run wild with the IP. That's just a recipe for disaster.
And yes, DMC is a good example of how it can go wrong.
Wow...racist much?
OK he may say it's not about the Taliban, but unless my eyes deceived me during the beta the 'non-american' team is clearly called 'Taliban'.
It has bad connotations written all over it whichever way EA tries to spin it.
I wouldn't say you're biased mate, it's more that Japanese titles appeal to you more because it's what you've experienced for so many years. Which is perfectly fine to be honest.
This is a tricky one though. I'm a big fan of Bayonetta and many more Japanese-led titles and they seem perfectly fine. Perhaps Japanese devs look at the west and think we're all old and antiquated too?
Either way it's a tricky one.
Yeah I agree, I'd check out their PS3 review. It's much fairer.
Now where is Strider?
I imagine from what he says in the interview that the Kinect controls will be quite different to using a controller. Maybe so different that they warrant separate coverage?
Then again, who knows really?
Nah, it really wasn't.
Is a true visionary. Rez was a superb title that showed some real imagination. It'll be great to see those visions given the current gen treatment and a nice HD gloss. Plus the music is being done by his band Genki Rockets, who come up with some stupidly catchy music.
Roll on Child of Eden!
Yeah to insta-fail stealth, but I agree with them; 'All Ghillied Up' is a superb stealth mission. So tense and well crafted.
Would you guys think it's fair to say that Bayonetta essentially is Devil May Cry 5 if it were made by Platinum. Assumedly they can't use any of Capcom's assets (Dante, the game world etc), so in some ways Bayonetta is their own take on the series.
I agree with you though totally. Bubble up!
Kamiya at the helm would be a great move. Still such a great creative force in the industry after so many years.
It's ones where the bosses go through four or five iterations. You think you've finished the game and then along comes another boss fight. Some are worse than others.
But I agree with the tailing missions. They're rarely fun unfortunately.
Based on a handful of screenshots? Have a little faith man, it could end up being spectacular, you never know :)
What, no Raiden from MGS2? Bit unexpected.
