Not yet sold on it.
If you have:
$400 = PS4
$600 = PC
$800 = Better PC
$1000 = Both
Got them directly from the distributor in my country.
What does this have to do with gaming? Shouldn't this be in the tech section. Not all VR related stuff is about gaming you know.
GTX 1080 running @2000 MHz is 10.2 TFlops.
My current PC with two GTX 1080 in SLI = 10.2 x 2 = 20.4 TFlops. Even a single GTX 1080 easily outpaces the yet to be released Xbox Scorpio, two of them absolutely destroys it.
There is no reason why they should no be provided they spend a sufficient amount of time playing those games.
For gamers it means absolutely nothing. A few extra watts will not burn a PC if that is what you are worried about.
I have seen videos of more than a dozen benchmarks and I can conclude that the $240 RX 480 is:
In DX 11 games = Overclocked GTX 970 performance
In DX 12 games = Faster than GTX 980
Emotions.
Its a pretty sad world we live in when a word meaning "struggle" in Arabic is deemed offensive.
Mass Effect: Andromeda @4k/60fps next year and The Witcher 3, GTA V etc all @4k/60fps or even higher in the meantime.
What's even more amazing is that come this Tuesday I will have all that power in my PC.
GTX 1080 running at 2000 MHz = 10.2 Teraflops
GTX 1080 SLI running at 2000 MHz each = 20.4 Teraflops
Some new guy through a worldwide audition.
Don't worry Nintendo won't be getting them anyway.
Valve is not hurt but Microsoft sure is. These games sell 50 times more if they are on Steam. Just look at Rise of the Tomb Raider selling 98% on Steam and only 2% on Windows 10 Store.
Are they admitting that the previous couple of GTs were disappointing.
PS4 Neo will be outdated even when it comes out so I don't know what the hell Sony thinks will happen. PCs will always offer much more power than consoles and AMD is on a mission to offer that power at a much lower cost for both consoles and PCs but the gap in power will always remain and PCs will always be able to push better graphics and frame-rates than consoles.
Already enjoying all games in 4k/60fps and above with my GTX 1080 SLI setup.
