They said they're blaming the engine and tried to mention keyboard and mouse as one of the issues too. FFXIV, War Thunder, etc uses keyboard and mouse on the PS4 so this part of the argument is invalid.
The only way FFXIV is coming to Xbox One if by miracle Microsoft changes their policy and lets the gamer play with the Playstation and PC community at the same time. Also letting you console have keyboard and mouse support helps too.
How hard is it for a company to say yes or no? Come on big N make it happen.
Kickstarter isn't the same as investing, for example the occulis rift got sold to Facebook.
Kickstarter campaign was for the PC and Mac version.
Square Enix will go bankrupt due to disregard of the fan base that made them so big.
Also:
1) Spending 8 years making one game
2) Not bringing games to the west
3) Making game engines and not using them
4) Screwing up budget expectations
I will still be angry, but I'll be waiting for TR to show up on Steam.
You won't see them until next year. Yakuza, etc. for the PS4 aren't even being translated by the Japanese companies.
No need to "cancel Christmas" there are several games for the rest of the year. The question should be, can your wallet handle the winter after the Christmas rush.

When a game is developed in the west, the various languages are conducted close to each other. Just look at how many languages needs to be completed just to meet the EU marketplace. Why do Square Enix, Capcom, Sega, etc... wait till the last minute to and add unnecessary 6 months+ and force markets bigger than theirs to wait.
Too Japanese? This is a Sega problem as a whole, since Atlus and NIS America were able to be successful and translate games for the west.
Vote with your wallet and blame the publishers. The only way to curb the company's prices is to influence them with the lack of money at the current rate.
