My disagree is from a European point of view. The Xbox One as a media platform is weak and lacking, especially with so many issues in the first half of the year. The Emmy is probably becuse it worked in the states and ignoring that it didn't work outside the US to the same degree.

Why is constant updates a feature? Especially things that should have been there from the start like battery life indicator.

This is VGChartz, you can not honestly say the numbers they post as a statement as fact. These are guesses and historically shown to have numbers under and over counted in comparison to the reports submitted to governments and shareholders.
You're right and the website isn't even including games that are released in other countries. That number gets bigger when you include Japan, Korea, and China that are not releasing games on the X1.
The writer conducted "drive by" research and picked and choose the "facts" that fit the narrative. What was one standard applied to the PS4 wasn't applied to the X1. At the same time ignoring that all consoles' first year were limited.
