Yeah, I was the same about Dead Space 1. Hated the demo because it was a weird section and just about "dismemberment." However, I loved the game and DS2. Sadly though, I don't think that I will like DS3.

Take a 3 year break Ubisoft and try to revamp many things and try to add some new things. Add more social stealth options like outfits (where you can get into restricted areas if you change outfit), etc.
But alas, this will never happen.

REBOOT it. Employ a scare amount of ammo, guns, etc. in the game and make it truly scary. However, leave the option for those who want "pew pew pew, me shoot everyone, me want make zombies d3@d," have the option in the main menu to turn on the "Action style" ammo and weapon drops.
