Mine's all wacky here in Canada too so glad it's not just my connection futzing up. No biggie, I can still play offline.
That may be but Rod F., formerly of Epic and producer/director of Gears 1,2 and 3 is heading the studio in charge of said game so it's in mighty fine hands.
Didn't know there was a competition going on, but yeah Crysis 3 was a looker but a snoozer. I'll take Gears for the gameplay.

I think it's because the internet has given everybody a voice, especially the tweeners and they have taken over the earth like a pubonic plague. Sony, MS, Steam are always spending to upgrade because of hackers, so I'm thinking they're doing their best. I'm sick of the word entitled too gansta, but kids today........

Game should be a real looker. Been playing the remaster of the original and it looks crazy for a ten year old game.....as even the naysayers would nay say, on my peasant console.

Can you take your behemoth PC with you on the road? What if they make XBox in different sizes, say small tablet up to console size with specs something like Steam machines attempted to do. This whole thing is going to play out a lot different than people think.
You're right, both systems are way too underpowered to last another four years. Upgrade and innovate, I like that both companies are trying to come up with something to keep our consoles moving forward.
Maybe there is something to the Steam/XBox domain that was hinted at.

Why, because it doesn't fit your idea of what a console should be Mr. So called author? MS is trying to innovate, Sony has discussed the same possibilty and obviously have put some time and research into such an idea so just because it doesn't fit your world.....piss off. Don't know what they have cooking up, but I would be up for upgrading.
I'm sure they're a lot smarter than you and have put some thought and planning into it if it becomes a reality. I, unlike you am a wait and seer, not a critic of everything.
I'll take the wait and see approach. I don't know what plan they would have for upgrading but I'd be interested. I'd buy the upgrades in the future if it allowed for 4k and the like. Swap out parts like the Steam Machines, external addons or different machines altogether? I'm open to all speculation.

If it's only as powerful as the X1 and PS4 that would be a joke. By the time it releases this fall, it will be three years into the X1 and PS4 and Nintendo would cheap out again and I won't be interested again in buying a Nintendo console. Get your heads out of your ass Nintendo and stay current and quit living in the past.
For that price I think I'll check it out.
It's pretty simple even in the crybaby days of the internet. If you really want it, and the developer has put in a tremendous amount of work, and has hundreds of hours of gameplay, buy it. If it doesn't appeal to your tastes.....don't. I'm gonna wait and see if it is something I'd be interested in but it's a hell of a good deal for $60.
