I'm keeping my PS3, and why wouldn't I? At the very least it's still a multi-media hub. It'd be like getting rid of a SMART blu-ray player. Pointless, besides if the PS4 was backward compatible that just means more PS3s being sold used. If PS3 aren't sold at a profit by now, they will be by the time PS4 is out and used sales will only slow new system sales down.
PS4 can't release with PS+, it has to build a game catalogue before it can start giving games away. If it were to do this it would only have minis rather than real PS4 titles and as such it would hold far less value. PS+ with PS4 games will probably show up 6 months or more down the line.

A year of PS+ with the system for $250 is a great deal, no need to buy a bunch of games right away. The 250Gb included hard drive is a disappointment in that model though. Anything that comes with a year of ps+ should have a 500Gb hdd.
No, there are plenty of tv shows with muuuuuuuch better cg scenes than this one. It's very low budget. A show with high quality cg scenes would be Game of Thrones (season 2&3) when they show their dragons.

The lower the price, the more launch titles I can buy. I've put $600 aside for whatever the system cost and what evers left goes towards games, services and accessories.

It's kind of important that they know it now, that means it won't slip to next year. They also know the price that they're going for but will adjust that to keep it competitive with whatever price mircosoft announces their system to be.
You read this completely wrong. He's saying that if he buys the bundle and then let's his ps+ subscription end he'll lose what he purchased because the ps store doesn't remove the expiration license and continues to believe to to be a free ps+ game rather than a purchased one.
PS+ lapse and you lose something you paid for because of this confusion. That argument is entirely justifiable.
They should just include one of those roll-up/flexible usb keyboards in the box and charge an extra $10. PS3 supports usb and bluetooth keyboards, PS4 should as well. Doing this would be the easiest way to get the game on consoles.

It's doing harm in the sense that I've lost interest in buying games because of it. Having this back catalogue that is ever growing is stopping many of my possible purchases.
The Last of Us, Dragon's Crown, FF14 ARR and South Park: The Stick of truth (if it ever comes out) are pretty much the only games on my radar left before the PS4 comes out.
