I think he's just tryna make you guys feel better, VidZone has a great selection if you live in the UK, the interface has been changed up + the new TV channel stuff is dope.
Maybe it's cause they want publishers to get used to DD only platforms.

This is a great music video app, i use it every week to listen to stuff without bothering to look for the MP3 file on the net.
The only thing that bothers me with it though is that it need;
- In-Game web Browser support for the ad's.
- In-Game PS Store support for the PS Store ad's.
Other than that, it's fine.
