totally agree and I would also recommend the Walking Dead. You get some serious choices to make that seem to really affect the outcomes. Not an action game but very impressed with the story they have presented in the first two chapters.
There is no way a device can survive selling full AAA 60 dollar games in digital download only. The Ipad sells 5 dollar games for the most part. There are way too many people that would never wait 20 hours for a game to download either.
In my opinion, The IGN review is a worthless read. It is poorly written and seems like it was rushed. The score is in line with most other early reviews but the text of the review didn't really tell me anything I couldn't gather in any of the previews. I can't wait to play the game but that review did nothing to amp me up for the experience.
maybe they meant how easy the campaign was on normal ??
Sorry, but you have to appreciate a well stated and reinforced smackdown. And that's exactly what that was.
time to get a ps3 if you dont have one
lmao, the kid from deliverance.
I played alan wake and it was a pretty good game ,but he described it as innovative and that is the last thing alan wake is.
pachter asks why media mo0lecule and insomniac dont go multi platform and wonders aloud that they must "like their deal with sony". maybe those companies understand that on an artistic level, sony might be the best videogame company in the world to work with. all their first and second parties rave about that aspect of the company and if they werent happy , wouldnt they do what bungie and bizarre creations did and bolt? the developers are artists first and the publishers are about m...

i don't even care what excuse they have.it should have been on the disc.... a total disgrace...a money grab.
those are retailer preorders. not the same as customer preorders. it's what the retailers figured they would sell before they had to reorder stock
as long as game developers are willing to dump total shovelware on an unsuspecting public, there will be a need for metacritic and reviews of videogames and other products with a price tag attached to them.

it is a service to the public to write reviews of products and then it is up to the public or individual user to then put the appropriate amount of weight behind those reviews

not one mention of story in any of the brief reviews...i thought story was one of the defining purposes of playing jrpg. did they even play the whole game?

without the original halo...there is no x360. so it must have moved some hardware.
I used to own an independent video game store for a decade. The markup on new games ranges from 25 to 18 percent. EA of course, always charged the most. Those prices are before shipping and credit card fees would be factored in. I was also paying a larger distributor who had to make 1.50 to 2 dollars on the game. In most cases , I was too small to go direct.
